Stock has never passed up the chance to take a dig at Montreal, why would he start now?

I feel bad for Eliotte Friedman having to put up with those two(Healy). I used to love watching the 2nd intermission for the "HotStove" report but don't even bother now.

Haha some friends and I always remark on how bad we feel for Friedman for having to slum it on CBC's panel. Weekes is okay but Eliotte's so clearly above the rest of them that it's painful to watch sometimes. You can just tell sometimes he's thinking, "what am I doing here?".

Wow guess he will hit UFA this summer then...will go read CHI board to see what the problem seems to be with Stallberg

Similar to Ryder, useless when he doesn't score.

Stalberg has never been particularly well-liked by Hawks fans...I'm not sure where the fascination for him on this board came from.

I agree with CP that he's probably like a lesser Ryder...you love him when he's on, but most of the time he's off.

One of the biggest mistakes the Pens have made in years. Let Scuds go and then pay 5 million a year for Michalek.

Off-topic but I still haven't adjusted to his new username either.

We don't need any more Ryders on this team. I hope MB doesn't go down this route or the Ryder route again.

It's become Eliotte Friedman and a circus sideshow.

I wonder if HNIC will have a whole segment on how bad of a teammate Karlsson is.

He was yelling at players, slamming the bench door, diving all over the place.

Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.

I'm absolutely sure Sens fans are throwing the same skewed venom at him as they threw on Subban....right?

For a guy who's afraid to taker a hit he shouldn't get pissed at any teammates. It's a joke he's called a DEFENSE-man.

It really is brutal. Friedman is great. Weekes is okay. WTH don't they bring back Kelly Hrudey? He was awesome on the panel.

Stock HAS to go. Healy should go too. Both are even worse together as they just scream over each other and everyone else. Such as shame because HNIC has always been the gold standard. I've always loved it over anything else and it's just brutal watching Stock ruin the Stove.

Scuderi was what I hoped Gorges would be. And to be fair, I've really liked Gorges over the past few years. It was an off season for him but he needs to get back to playing like himself next year. Just didn't show up enough in 2013.

He's a superior forechecker and he's intense, at least. Also, he won't get paid 4M.

He's no more intense than Ryder.

Instead of Stalberg let's spend cap space on a guy with truculence like Torres or even Cooke, guys not fun to play against.

Where is he, anyway? Is he still doing color on the late games? IMO he was much better as an panelist, I liked him a lot.

TSN's crew is so far ahead of CBC's it's crazy.

Apparently people don't know what a charge is...

Looks like Torres will get a hefty suspension again.

You don't replace a top 6 scorer like Ryder with Cooke or Torres. We need both scorers (unless they are finally ready to try Desharnais on the wing) and bangers.

Stalberg would be an interesting choice to replace Ryder, he's not a 30 goalscorer by any means but he can do a lot more. But the skill on this team is overrated, we can't get away with replacing one of only 2 proven 30+ goal guys with a grinder.

Say what you want about Ryder, but this team has a hard time scoring goals. Part of it means crashing the net more, but if the guys crashing the net don't have the hands to capitalize, it won't solve the problem.

The difference between Stalberg and Cooke/Torres in terms of offense is not huge.

Last 2 years:

Stalberg 126 GP 31-35-66(0.52 PPGM)
Torres 118 GP 22-22-44(0.37 PPGM)
Cooke 130 GP 27-32-59(0.45 PPGM)

The difference is 10-12 points a year, for that I'll gladly take the more physical player.

Replacing Ryder will be by commitee, guys like Gallagher Galchenyuk and Eller should get more responsibility and PP time.

Please don't use the word "truculence"... it makes me think of Brian Burke
