Everything seemed to line up against Roman this year. Had no training camp to get used to the NHL, and then the blood clot issue set him back to square one just before the lockout ended. Showed flashes near season's end, but by then it was too late to mean anything. Wouldn't have minded bringing him back, but he probably got more money from SKA than any NHL team would've committed to him.

It was worth a shot anyway... Didn't cost the Flames anything but cash, and they have that in spades.

Guy had the worst run of luck. Hopefully he can find his form in the KHL again.

I am shocked, seeing how thin the free agent market is at center! Under thirty, the top paid guys were Roy, Cervenka and Wellwood!

Cervenka didn't see most of that $3.775 million cap hit. If I remember correctly, all but $1 million-ish of that consisted of performance bonuses that I doubt he attained.

His rights by the way were recently traded from Lev to SKA for rights to Michal Jordan (RFA from Canes). I expect him to sign in the KHL, too.

First the KHL signs one of the best NHL centers who is availalbe on the market (RFA) and then they talk Michael 'Air' Jordan out of retirement. This is getting ridiculous, who are they going to sign next, Wayne Gretzky and Tiger Woods?

I don't expect Jordan to sign overseas. He got into a few games with Carolina this year, I expect him to give it another year or two before he heads back (If he's not in the NHL by then).

I actually really liked him, especially towards the end when he finally found his groove. Very talented player, I'm sorry to see him go so quick.

The sarcasm was so obvious that I didn't think a was necessary. BTW my source Alexander "Mailman" Medvedev tells me Sidney Crosby to SKA is a done deal, can you confirm that?
