I want Chuck gone just as much as everybody else, but Ruben is the problem. I think he will fire him, as a last ditch effort to save his job. I saw an article on Yahoo about how a new tv deal is waiting after 2015 and the networks are salivating about getting the Phillies. Ownership has to realize this and know that they need to get both of these clowns out so their franchise value doesnt go down.

Gameday made it look like a bad outing for Hamels. Gameday also makes it look like this team ****ing sucks.

Durbin. And Horst.

Come on now. Aumont hasn't pitched in almost a week. He'll forever be a better option than Durbin.

You inspired me to rank each of the 12 metropolitan areas that contain a pro sports team in each of the four major sports. For cities with more than one team in the same sport, I used the team with the best record. I combined the winning percentages for each of the teams record in the most recent completed regular seasons to come up with this ranking:

1. Chicago (Bears 0.625, WSox 0.525, Bulls 0.549, Hawks 0.750) = 0.612

2. San Fran Bay Area(49ers 0.719, Giants 0.580, Warriors 0.573, Sharks 0.521) = 0.598

3. NYC (Giants 0.563, Yanks 0.586, Knicks 0.659, Rangers 0.542) = 0.588

4. Boston (Pats 0.750, RSox 0.426, Celtics 0.506, Bruins 0.583) = 0.566

5. Denver (Broncos 0.813, Rockies 0.395, Nuggets 0.695, Avalanche 0.333) = 0.559

6. DC (Redskins 0.625, Nationals 0.605, Wizards 0.354, Capitols 0.563) = 0.537

7. Dallas-FW(Cowboys 0.500, Rangers 0.574, Mavs 0.500, Stars 0.458) = 0.508

8. Miami (Dolphins 0.438, Marlins 0.426, Heat 0.805, Panthers 0.313) = 0.496

9. Minneapolis-St. Paul (Vikings 0.625, Twins 0.407, Wolves 0.378, Wild 0.542) = 0.488

10. Detroit (Lions 0.250, Tigers 0.543, Pistons 0.354, Wings 0.500) = 0.412

11. Philly (Eagles 0.250, Phillies 0.500, Sixers 0.415, Flyers 0.479) = 0.411

12. Phoenix (Cardinals 0.313, Diamondbacks 0.500, Suns 0.305, Coyotes 0.438) = 0.389

Good job, way more effort then I'd ever considering putting into anything Internet related. Unfortunately the result made me very sad

While the efforts are appreciated, I definitely don't need numbers to prove what I know: Philly sports teams have straight up blown the past 18 months.

Some good news:

magelb Phillies say doctors performed a debridement of Roy Halladay's labrum and rotator cuff. Could begin throwing program in 6-8 weeks.

No full tear so they just did some cleaning up inside his shoulder. Hopefully, he'll heal up properly and be able to go later in the season.

Would it be crazy to bring your closer into the game in the 8th to face the 3,4,5, and have someone else close the game out against the bottom of the order? I feel like it makes too much sense for it to ever happen.

It just happened, but Bastardo isn't working. Maybe DeFratus can do it. He's getting guys out at least and not walking people.
