Update:

Kesler and Edler are still bringing in offers, we're up to 8 teams offering for each of them. These guys are in their 20s and clearly have some immense value, I wouldn't expect them to be moved quickly as the deals are still too close value-wise to choose one.

The Sedins have some lowball offers coming in now, no you won't get them for a bunch of expired roster pieces and some cap dumps.. these guys are 1st line players still, despite a poor playoff performance.. lots of star players crapped the bed this post-season.

Kevin Bieksa and Alex Burrows are both being shopped as well, so PM us if interested.

Ballard and Booth are both around for cheap trades, could fill a 2nd line W or #4 D position for some teams.

Maybe even Patrick Kane!

The Washington Capitals put Jeff Schultz on waivers intending to buy him out.

Joel Ward is very available. Marcus Johansson and Michal Neuvirth are still available, as is Jason Chimera.

Will listen to offers on John Carlson and Mike Green, Backstrom will no longer be discussed.

OILERS MAKE DUO OF DEALS

Team AAcquiredTeam BAcquired
CAR 1st '13 (5th OV), *$1,500,000 Retained EDM 1st '13 (7th OV), RW - Ales Hemsky*
LW - Kyle Beach G - Niko Hovinen

The Oilers dealt long-time winger Ales Hemsky and their 7th overall selection to the Hurricanes in exchange for the 5th overall selection in this years NHL Entry Draft. The Oilers also retained $1,500,000 of the last year of Hemsky's contract.

"Ales up to this point has bled Oilers blue his whole NHL career. He's dazzled us for years with his magic and it's bitter sweet that we send his show on the road."

The Oilers made their second transaction of the day acquiring the living neanderthal Kyle Beach from the Chicago Blackhawks.

"Don't tell him I let you coin that moniker. Our scouting staff slash genealogy engineers have found some astonishing correlations between Kyle's wide set eyes and slopping forehead to our cavemen ancestors. We believe with the right diet of woodland critters and complex carbohydrate incentives, we just may have and incredibly useful barbarian on skates."

Beach is legitimately the dumbest human being I've ever met.

Working on a few things...would still be open to flipping Moulson and a good D prospect for a top pairing defenseman.

HABS ACQUIRE RYAN AND CLUTTERBUCK

In our first trade of the day, we have traded forwards Max Pacioretty and David Desharnais to the Anaheim Ducks for forward Bobby Ryan.

It was very difficult to move Pacioretty but we feel that Ryan is an upgrade and will be a great fit to complement Tomas Plekanec on our 1st line. Surround Plekanec was among our goals in the offseason. Pacioretty is a great young player but we think that he is already at his peak. Despite his points production, he had a difficult season at times last year. As for Desharnais, we are happy to give him the chance in a top 6 role after a very disappointing season in Montreal. It was obvious that he had no future as a center in Montreal with Plekanec, Eller and Galchenyuk. We thought about the possibility to move him to the wing but size was an issue. We are thrilled to add Ryan to our organization and we wish Pacioretty and Desharnais the best in Anaheim.

In our second trade, we have traded our 2013 1st round pick to the Minnesota Wild for forward Cal Clutterbuck.

It was a steep price to pay but Clutterbuck is exactly the type of player we were looking for. He will have a major role on our team, playing on our top line with Plekanec and Ryan to create space for them on the ice. He will get a lot of minutes at ES but will be replaced by Galchenyuk on the PP.

TRADE WINDS BLOWING IN NASHVILLE

The rebuild has begun, as rumours out of Nashville indicate that two franchise players are on the move. Management is awaiting league approval before announcing the deals.

The team is still looking to make some moves and, has indicated that additional players may be on the move.

UPDATE

Yannick Weber is available for cheap. We are also listening to offers for Louis Leblanc.

Josh Gorges remain on the trade block but at this point, they will likely remain with the team.

Carey Price isn't available anymore. He will get the chance to reach his huge potential in Montreal.

We are shopping our 2013 2nd round pick for a young physical 4th line winger (27 or younger).

Finally, we are open to different scenarios to upgrade on D.

PM!

Talks are heating up for Dustin Byfuglien. If you're interested in adding Big Buff let me know, he could be moved soon.

re-sign newly acquired Goncharov

Tampa Bay has agreed to a two year, one way deal with RFA defenseman Maxim Goncharov worth $1.8 million. The deal breaks down to .850k in 12-13 and .950k in 13-14.

The Avalanche are getting close on dealing Stastny. The team has reportedly said that they are willing to retain 50% of his cap hit. The Avs are looking for young, high potential LD and scoring wingers

Kings have many offers and inquiries on Bernier, waiting for more to come in but the going price is a top prospect or 1st+, or top 6 forward+ goalie
