His willingness to get physical is very hit and miss as well. That said with his combination of strength and size if he could improve his skating he could be an NHL player.

Lander IMO is the better skater of the two, but the difference between him being a 4th and 3rd line center is that extra bit of speed that he currently does not have.

Texas is playing like the team they were in the regular season. They just scored in the second to go up 2-0. OKC is getting their chances but just not finishing on the very hot Nilstorp.

Texas wins 2-1. OKC goal by Arcobello. Shots 39-28 for the Stars.

Game 3. Lander and Rajala with goals, as OKC leads Texas 2-0 in the second period. Marincin with 2 assists.

Good that is what you want from the AHL team prospects scoring and playing good in the playoffs. Glad Marty is still playing good with out Schultz, hope he can turn into a player.

I'm only listening on radio, but the Barons have sounded impressive so far. Much different from when the series was in Texas. Weird watching Toronto/Boston while listening to the Barons broadcast. So much hockey!

Edit: No longer just watching the Toronto/Boston game. Wow...

Oh I did.. and man. I'm not even a fan of either team and I felt my heart wrench. Anyway... Barons win 4-0. Danis with the shutout.

With Toronto going out of the NHL playoffs last night I wonder if Gardiner and Colbourne will be headed to the Marlies for the remainder of their playoff run ?

Edit: Also worth mentioning that Ewanyk, Gernat, and Musil all signed ATO contracts with Barons and will be with the team for the remainder of their playoffs.

Ryan Dittrick ‏@ryandittrick 2m
Officially diagnosed as a "lower-body injury," Lander could be out for a while.

Ryan Dittrick ‏@ryandittrick 4m
#OKCBarons will be without Anton Lander tonight in Gm 4 vs. Texas (Barons lead series 2-1). Big loss. Had scored 4-1-5 in 6 playoff games.

Ouch.

But does this mean Ewanyk could draw in?

I believe that Eager will draw in on the forth line with House and Antti T.

Jesus murphy! I kept refreshing it (I can't watch or listen where I am) and it was 4-3 when I looked 2 minutes ago.

So yea, 7-3 win for the Barons. Arcobello and Tyrvainen with 2 goals a piece. Stars got badly outshot. OKC is up 3-1 in the series.

So, who are we most likely to face in the next round, assuming we close this series out?

The Griffins or the Marlies. Hopefully the Griffins, as the Marlies have had the Barons' number since day one, and beat them in the conference finals last year.

I think he deserves a shot at an assistant job in the NHL.

I think he's a pretty solid minor league coach, but it seems like they've been a different team when they got a bunch of AHL veterans.

I don't watch too many games, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. But it seems like Cheechoo, Randy Jones, and Garrett Stafford have helped out a lot. It also helps to get Green and Pitlick back for playoffs.

Go Barons! Good to see them on a bit of a roll.
