On a completely separate note, are there players out there that hate to be hit more than Letang/Karlsson?

if you can skate like they do why bother getting hit?

Good point. Unless you are a sitting duck like Karlsson.

I have noticed for some time now, in all the playoff clashes that Letang is a player that even a clean check usually retaliates. He is one guy that can be distracted.

Lately Karlsson looks at the ref for everything, which is annoying too.

It is rare to see someone conveniently ignoring/only forming an opinion on/addressing half of the story as much as your posts have on the past three pages.

Who cares where he went or what he did after that game. The point being that Neil tucked tail and ran in that situation. A point which you countered with the above. Yet it has been pointed out that Orpik was wise to not fight in his altercation with Neil and the above is no longer valid?

Missing the point, which is even if he was in Malkins head it did nothing to help the Isles or stop Malkin from going into beast mode. As for reading comprehension, I never claimed that you said he shut Malkin down, nor did I use those words.

I give up.

Crosby and Alfredsson.

Boxers or briefs?

Discuss.

Sergei Gonchar.

Will do anything to avoid a hit and if you get him good, he'll retaliate with a slash and get penalized.

May I direct you to the back end of the series, where we don't play until Wednesday following Sunday's game?

Ottawa won because of defense, not hits. Finish your checks when you get them of course, but if the Sens loosen up in their own end to inflate a useless stat Pittsburgh will put up 4 plus a night for the next three games. The Sens were fine 5 on 5. If they stay out of the box and convert on their chances they could win this thing. If they keep trading power plays they're done in four.
This is where you need to look beyond the numbers. A playoffs run is more than one round long. If you hit the opponents, crosscheck them, slash them, even elbow them and so on and keep doing it, your opponent is going to start slowing down. That lack of speed is going to translate into sloppy play, errors and so on. If you give the Hawks I'll return with Los Angeles or the Boston/Toronto series. Lots of hits and viciousness, some injuries and a lot of wear and tear.

Alfredsson goes commando, Viking ancestry and all.
Crosby probably has dainty briefs.

Uh, which guy wears a hair barrette? That is about as anti-Viking as you can get.

I'd say Alfredsson would be wearing the dainty briefs.

Heh.
May I direct you to the Viking Answer Lady?
A variety of combs and other implements were used to style hair.
Additionally, "Usually only thralls (slaves) wore very short hair17. Probably the average man wore his hair about collar or shoulder length, and his beard as long as was comfortable for him. A professional warrior might make other choices for hairstyle to minimize the hazard of having hair or beard grabbed in combat."

dainty briefs might match his dress.

then again, i'd never knock cross-dressing. its a well established Norse tradition that finds itself buttressed against myth. didn't Frotho I dress himself up as a shieldmaiden during one of his campaigns?

This series sucks. Friggin NHL and there garbage scheduling. Coming off a great series with MTL we get this trash where we have to wait 3 days between games. The season is gonna end sometime in 2015 at this rate. /rant

But it's gonna happen.
Bet the Sens couldn't. Pens aren't Montreal. No, its not going happen because the Ottawa franchise is not a real contender and can't keep up.
