BAD TRADE! I wanted Ribeiro out as much as the next guy, but taking on a declining defenseman who makes more braindead moves in his own end than Brisebois is not who I wanted in return! Especially for $2.5m! I was hearing rumours that Dallas wanted like a 4th round pick for Niinimaa because of low quality of play and high contract....bad move IMO...hope I'm wrong..

Wow! I can't believe the timing. Is this some joke? Why did we bother with traverse? What happens with Streit? There has to be more to this than we think. Souray on his way out?

Who becomes our new 2nd line C? Which center comes in to replace Ribeiro? Is there another move coming?
Is Niinimaa going to rebound back in a hockey crazy city? If we get the Niinimaa of Edmonton I love it, but how likely is that? He was terrible last season.
Someone mentioned earlier that there was a rumour Kost might not be in the AHL long. Does this affect his status or will he be in the AHL for the time being?
Seems like a bad deal to me... I don't see Niinima as being an upgrade over any of our top 6 defenceman. Sad to see Ribs' go but if the team is better off without him...that's fine. The only thing that pisses me off is the fact that I took the time to make a new avatar this morning and I already have to change it
