The Habs decided Tinordi was more ready to fill in this season. Given their ages, we can also expect Tinordi to improve more quickly than Pateryn. I don't think Pateryn has a chance.

Still hoping for a new coaching staff for next season, although I have a feeling it's unlikely.

My thinking is that we need to surround Subban and Markov with big mobile defensemen next season.

Emelin
Tinordi
Pateryn

We know Boullion is there as the 7th. I'd try to package Gorges and Diaz for a #2 or #3 defenseman.

How good is Joey Tenute? What type of player? Is he gritty?

Bergevin really hammered home the whole 'we're a family, we work as a team' idea. No chance he fires people yet, imo.

Which is ridiculous. Really hate Lefevbre. Maybe MB can give him some input at the very least. AKA play the high profile youngster!

Not sure I ever agreed with the Lefebvre hiring. I wanted someone with some more experience. With all the newbies in the organization, I didn't think that the coach of our farm team was a position that could just be given away to another one.

If we are a family, Lefebvre is the drunken, **** up uncle who asks everyone for money.

Clément Jodoin is still in the organization. Just send him to Hamilton. Lefebvre can be the assistant coach up in the rafters with very limited contact with the players. That way you avoid firing anybody and the development of our youngsters is in better and experienced hands.

Somewhat. He makes things happen out of nothing. I can see him succeeding in the Allsvenskan.

Robert Mayer will stay in North America EHC Biel organization confirmed. The valid contract with Mayer is not yet terminated and the club has filed a claim for compensation.

He's solid, should do well, not really gritty though.

what kind of contract you think Montreal offered Mayer to pass up Swiss like this? Wasn't he going there for the $$.

They used him in the playoffs as backup on the bench for Budaj when Price was out

Maybe the Habs know something about Tokarski's plans, then? Maybe they already talked contract with him and he wants a chance somewhere and isn't going to take his QO or a 2-way deal or something like that?

Okay....but there has to be something better than Mayer/Delmas 'cause if not...another terrible season ahead. And it's all great to learn with adversity but that's not adversity....that's depression.

I'll tell you, we better not learn that it's a Lefebvre thing once more 'cause this will be really concerning. Our greatest crop is and will be soon in Hamilton. We can't have them with a coach like that IF he's responsible for some of the stories we kept hearing.

We got Mayer, guys. Don't need to draft a goalie again this year.

If anything, it means we are drafting 6 goalies this year....Geez, might as well bring Loic Lacasse back or Jason Missiaen....
