I can't see any scenario where this rumor is true, regarding Kesler that is.

I also highly doubt Edler is in play, but it's at least feasible.

Just for arguments sake... I'm curious as to what a trade around Edler and Simmonds would look like from the Flyers stand point? I love Simmonds.

Neither player is actually in play, so this discussion is for ****s and giggles.

Why Simmonds? I have not been impressed with him in comparison to someone like Couts or Schenn

We cant afford to trade Simmer because we are pretty weak depth wise on the wings.

Kesler or Edler for Ryan makes some sense, with perhaps some other parts to balance things out...

Canucks would probably like an edler for ryan trade i know as a van fan i would. Any anaheim fans want to respond to how they think of a trade with them?

Burrows Kesler Ryan
Sedin Sedin Kassian
Higgins some1 Hansen

Not too bad for the top 9 but our D hurts now

Hamhuis Bieksa
Garrison Tanev
(Alberts) Corrado

We'll be asking a lot from Tanev and Corrado and our offense from the D is pretty bad now

can only speak for myself but anaheim really needs some better puck movers on defense, edler would help alot there

Only bad thing with Ryan is his contract situation, we'd have him for 2 season before ufa and he might want big money, kinda suck to lose Edler for someone who might only be here for 2 seasons and Edler has 6 seasons left at 5 mil, this would my only hold up on the deal.

I hope Kesler isnt moved. Would much rather see the Sedins gone although its very unlikely.

Dont necessarily want Edler gone either unless its the perfect return.

Yeah I totally agree, I rather keep Kesler and ship out the twins, I think we can win with Kesler I have a lot of doubts about the twins. I don't really want to trade Edler cause of him being a #1 puck moving offensive D man with good defence abilities and signed long term. It's going to be interesting and possibly very painful to watch what happens to the Canucks. Kesler would be the toughest guy to lose, it'll be painful to see conform trade Ryan Kesler to ......

To address our winger depth. Ryan put up 40 goals playing with tweeners, I'd love to see what he could do with competent second liners. No offense Raymond.

Having watched Couts I've been very hot and cold. I'd certainly love him on my team, but he also fills a role that isn't exactly missing on our team (Forwards playing defense). All signs point to MG running with a heavy, hard hitting, puck possession team (yawn), and quite frankly we can possess the puck all day but if we can't put it in the net the only thing we are accomplishing is being the best damn lottery winner ever.

Fair enough. With that in mind I imagine the only thing the Canucks lack other than up front winger depth is centers, so I guess it's back to Couts discussion.
