How on earth are the Pens going to pull it off w/ brutal D and shaky goal.
It will be hard for them to get out of the conference - facing the Rags or Bruins - and, leaving us aside, I think the Pens vs. the Kings would be an f-ing joke.
Whether it's us...or an Eastern Conf team the SCF winner is going to have to avoid being turned into road kill by LA
Not saying Pittsburgh is the front-runner to win, just saying I don't want to see them end up winning under any circumstance because I don't like them. Vokoun has been decent in goal though, and Pittsburgh's offense skates circles around most other teams. They've scored more than three goals in every single playoff game except for one so far. Granted, half their games have been high-scoring by both teams. With that said I think they lose to the Bruins in the conference final if they both make it that far. And Lundqvist could steal a couple games if they play the Rangers.
Hawks-Kings series (which is looking probable) would be brutal though. I'd pick Hawks in 7 but who knows, LA is looking damn good. I hope they lose Game 3.
good possibility that the Pens, Bruins, Kings and Hawks make it to the Conf. Finals. That would be the last 4 Winners of the Stanley Cup. Coincidence? Staying a Top Team even in the Cap era? It's possible for sure
I don't think's that's sustainable...I don't think Vokoun is good enough.
People really underestimate Vokoun, since 2008 he has the 8th best SV% in the NHL. He is a good goalie who won't cost you games and can often times steal you a game. He might not be on the elite level with the likes of Rinne, Quick, Lundqvist, etc but he isn't far away.
