How many more times are people going to falsely claim this? It's the exact same. If I ask for something to be made 12 inches long, and it's 12.1, I'm not going to be very pleased
Exactly, if you ask a machinist to cut something 12" long, you should be expecting something with-in 1/32"-1/64" of 12". If you want it 12 1/16" then you ask them to cut it at that measurement. Having dealt with machinists for many years I must say that you don't take things to them unless it needs to be precise and if they don't make it precise then you need to find another machinist.
This sorta reminds me of the whole Heinz underfilling ketchup bottles in the early 2000's. They were underfilled by about .5% which was enough to make them lose a lawsuit and hundreds of thousands of dollars.
