I'm almost afraid to even watch Jeff Francis tonight. Methinks Wrigley Field won't be kind to him.

Hopefully the bats wake up.

Would love it if the Broncos land Woodson.

Is that the rumor? I wanted him too - I think he would be a great ball hawking safety in our defense.

Hoping for some help from Rockies/CoorsField veterans: What sections are in the shade during afternoon/early evening games? I've only been to a couple of Rockies afternoon games, but I thought the third base side was the shady side.

Appreciate the help.

It is, do not sit in right field unless you wish to go blind.

Good day for the hometown boys.

Rockies put a 10-2 beating on the Giants, while the Outlaws put an even worse 20-7 beating on the Rochester Rattlers in their home opener. That makes them 4-0 so far, and today's 13 point win was the second largest margin in team history.

Also, Colorado State beat Colorado 7-2 in the MCLA Division I College Lacrosse National Championship (MCLA is essentially club lacrosse; it's intercollegiate but nonvarsity). Great to see two local schools battling for a title, and even better to see the Rams win (I hate CU athletics).

Tomorrow DU plays North Carolina in the NCAA Division I National Quarterfinals, with the winner getting #1 Syracuse in the semifinals.

Considering Josh Kroenke seems to be shifting his focus a bit more to the Avs I would be shocked if they let Masai leave. Unless Toronto offers him an ungodly amount of money that is so high the team would be stupid to match.

I love it....JR Smith is 27 and says he wants to "retire with the knicks"

http://tracking.si.com/2013/05/19/jr..._a12&eref=sihp

I guess this is the only mass market coverage they can dig up right now in the NBA playoffs.

The Nuggets have stalled this for way too long and now they've got a fight on their hands.

Toronto Raptors President and general manager Bryan Colangelo will make a transition from basketball operations to the front office, Yahoo! columnist Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Monday. According to Wojnarowski, the Raptors are also preparing a “major” financial offer to current Nuggets general manager and reigning NBA Executive of the Year, Masai Ujiri.

Avs have one of the lowest paid coaching staffs in the league and if they want Roy, they have to pay up.

Masai is one of the lowest paid GMs in the league and it looks like the Nuggets are really going to have to pay up in order to keep him.

Lets see how the Kroenkes handle this.

We lost Charles Woodson to the Raiders.

So many thoughts on this one - disappointment (he would have been a good fit), surprise (the raiders have no money?), shocked (woodson's an idiot - oaklands going nowhere)....

just wow.

Bummer, I really thought he would end up here. I'm surprised too as the Broncos certainly had the cap room to pay him but the Raiders paid him what he wanted and the Broncos didn't. Or maybe it was all the fans showing up to greet him in costume. I was looking forward to see what impact he could have made for us at safety.

I'm not too bummed. We need to stop becoming the geriatric ward. Seriously once PM retires this team is screwed because we have so many over 35 players. It will basically be a complete re-build.

I don't think anybody is pretending any different, the bronco's are going to blow it all for a two year window.

eh I'm disappointed but I don't think Woodson is going to win us 2-3 extra games or something crazy. Just thought he would be a good fit and an upgrade/adequate depth for our safety position.

If he just wants the money to play for only 16 games, more power to him.

It will be interesting to see how JK deals with Ujiri possibly getting a 300% raise.

Shanahan in front of Dungy is a joke. Honestly. And I'm not even that much of a Shanny hater.

Nah, I'd take Shanny over Dungy.

And yeah, if Masai does leave, Josh's attention to the Avs may be short lived.
