Robinson-Blake-Johnson

We have all heard Lombardi, Lieweke, Crawford, and Taylor gush over how much they love having Blake in the organization. I also think that Rob is looking to be a part of this team in some capacity for years to come. The way Robinson molded Blake is going to be very similiar to the way Blake will mold Johnson. Early comments we have heard from Jack, indicate that he will be giving LA a hard look after his Sophmore year of school. For those who still hate Blake the thought of him molding and being instrumental in ushering in a player of this calibre may be the late night call from the governer some of you never thought would come.

Yikes. Blake is on a 2-year deal. Jack might not be around for a while.

You must've missed the quote where JMJ talks about the possibility of being in the same lockerroom as Blake...and there's always the possibility of Blake returning for a year or two after this contract is up for less money.

Right. We didn't really get Robinson for his D - he was past his prime. We got him mostly to teach a young Rob Blake how to play championship-style D. Larry taught him a lot. It'd be great if he could pass that on to JJ.

You mean like he was going to pass it on to Gleason ?

Yeah I know it's Jack Mother ********* Johnson .... I get it

Anyways, hopefully Blake AND Norstrom can pass on some of their knowledge to the likes of Johnson and Petiot ... if you look at how long Chelios has managed to kick it around Detroit and still be an asset, hopefully Blake & Matty are well conditioned enough to stay on another couple years as well. At MUCH smaller CAP hit contracts btw .
