pretty much this. there is no system in the world above peewee where you're checking your own teammates for puck possesion

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed Jagrs, not really lackluster, but weird play.

I love seeing a guy hold off 3 defenders for 15+ seconds but at that point you can't use the excuse no one is open to pass to.

That play was weird. Jagr, with head down watching only the puck, basically skated up to, upon and over Looch was was up against the boards. Jagr didn't even seem to look up to notice he was skating right into his own teammate.

Weird.

I was in favor of acquiring Jagr, but he really needs to distribute the puck much better. He holds on way too long and opponents just watch him spend all his enegy and force a bad pass or dump. I like him on the PP point but he needs to find himself.

Need to see the salute.

Looking him play, it looks like he already hang 'em up.

But I also know all the crap that was send Recchi's way in 2011 playoffs.

Jagr will have his salutes and moments of glory. And hopefully, it's good enough to help the team win a 2nd Cup in 3 years. Just like Recchi did.

Jags or time for some Sodapop?

Jagry just doesnt look like he has fit in at all during the playoffs.

Is it time to sit him a game and see what Sodeberg brings to the table?

I suspect that barring injury there won't be any soda pop on the roster, or any substituting for Jagr. Soda is not NHL savvy enough, and Jagr despite his flaws does bring a degree of experience and skill to the team that they have been missing.

Another Soderberg thread? He's not playing because he's not good enough, Daugavins is even better than him

You'd probably have to sit 2 or maybe even 3 players before Soderberg gets in and even then it'sn't a guarantee. At that point, Caron or someone else might be called up.

But, Claude has shown that Daugavins is probably first guy up then who knows. Caron? Pandolfo? Soderberg?

Caron, pandawful, and the biggest shocker that anyone would think Daugavins is better than Soda pop?

Jagry gets in his own players way mor than anything

Completely wiped out Lucic last night, in either 3rd or OT.

Jagr's more Kabrele than Recchi. Recchi adjusted his game to something that could help the team, even with his slow wheels. He taught them how to be a team and pull in the same direction. Jagr is about Jagr.

Speaking of Kaberle, what about just using Jagr as a PP specialist. Rotate 5 guys through the bottom two lines and then just roll Jagr out there when they're man up? If the bottom six weren't so effective. . .

Do you have any evidence at all to support this? Jagr's teammates pretty much to a man the last few years since he came back from Russia have had nothing but good things to say about him.

I don't mean personally, I mean his game out on the ice. Recchi sold himself out to fit the system, Jagr is content being Jagr.

Was Kaberle hated in the lockerroom (I don't remember hearing much).

I can't believe you guys are talking **** about Jagr. He had a good game last night, hit a post, could have had a few goals and he makes the powerplay more dynamic.

Again....Jagr is less an offensive player now because he is in our system...Besides, if his shot that hit the post in OT last night is an inch lower...You are calling him your hero today.

I wouldn't sit Jagr at all. I'd be okay if they pulled Kelly for Soderberg though. I think that would light a fire for that third line; which even with Seguin is invisible.

I think he missed 1 goal and 1 assist by the width of the post. So an inch here and there and everyone's quiet.

I wouldn't sacrifice Kelly's penalty killing and his ability to slide into a top 2 center role mid game in the event that Krejci or PB go down.

Wow, did someone catch Jagr trying to sell tickets for above face value?

Yeah, he wasn't sharp last night. But I have to laugh at all the people who have the knives out for this guy. I'm content if he just opens up space for Bergeron and Marchand.

I'm certainly not open to sitting Jagr. You sit high end guys to try to light a fire, telling Jagr to sit won't do anything except insert a worse player into the lineup an probably **** him off a little.

I think we will see Soderberg in the post season at some point, but either for an injury or Thornton. Daugavins and Pandolfo are two of the worst players to lace then up in the NHL this season. They shouldn't see ice time unless its life or death

no what people (well myself and I believe some others) want is whats best for the TEAM and what will help the TEAM win regardless of the name on the back of the jersey.

Jagr has not been good this entire playoffs not just last night. He looks tired and slow and like he doesn't know what is required of him in CJ's system. Does that mean he sucks and we hate him. Nope but this is the playoffs and I want to win regardless of if Jagr's feelings get hurt.

People wanted him on the top line in Horton's spot because of his name and are worried that if he gets mad he wont re-sign with us. Horton is one of our best playoff performers and that line of Horton-Krejci-Lucic won that first series for us and Jagr did nothing to earn that spot over Horton.

It was said its all Kelly and Pev's fault why Jagr is so bad. Well Jagr does not play with Kelly and Pev on the PP and that has not been much better because of Jagr.

Jagr got moved to the line with Bergy and Marchand and still had a "not sharp" game last night to go with all his "not sharp" games in the first 7.

I want him to prove me wrong. I would love for him to get MVP and lead the TEAM to a cup. I dont care who does it as long as the team does it.

In my opinion people get to hung up on Jagr's name and have defended him to the death based on his career stats before being a Bruin. point is he is now a Bruin and needs to earn it on this team and he has been failing at that since the playoffs started.

I got labled a hater because I was not on board with giving Hortons spot to him. If people looked back at the trade thread I was 100% excited to pick up Jagr and have him on this team and it is proven in that thread.

BUT this is the playoffs and if you don't perform you don't get spoon fed time and promotions because of your name.

bottom line is I want a Cup for the Bruins not for Jagr.

so my opinion because its different then yours is BS?

ya ok.

You continue to not take into account how Horton has done for us in the playoffs in this system. That means more then what Jagr did in the regular season in the Dallas system.

Using his performance in another system as a reason to put him on the top line here in place of a proven performer in this system is the bs.

you are a Jagr lover I get it because you attack anytime I say something against him. good for you. I am a Bruin lover over any player in the system and will always want what is best for the TEAM over best for the player. That is where we differ.

actually your a Philly fan so of course you want what is best for Jagr and not the Bruins.
