A proposed amendment to Arizona state law would like to redefine disorderly conduct to include entering a bathroom of a gender besides the one listed on your birth certificate.

http://www.azleg.gov/legtext/51leg/1...E-KAVANAGH.pdf

Quote:
A PERSON COMMITS DISORDERLY CONDUCT IF THE PERSON INTENTIONALLY ENTERS A PUBLIC RESTROOM, BATHROOM, SHOWER, BATH, DRESSING ROOM OR LOCKER ROOM AND A SIGN INDICATES THAT THE ROOM IS FOR THE EXCLUSIVE USE OF PERSONS OF ONE SEX AND THE PERSON IS NOT LEGALLY CLASSIFIED ON THE PERSON’S BIRTH CERTIFICATE AS A MEMBER OF THAT SEX.
The exceptions under Subsection C of the amendment (for employees, aides, children, and the disabled) means this law would apply mainly to transgenders.

You'd think there were more important issues to tackle in Arizona.

It's still 30 degrees in March.

Give Arizona crap, but it doesn't get under 30 degrees there, at least not in the morning. Must be nice. Meanwhile this region has been stuck in a bitter freeze since December. It's like I'm in Canada.

Bomb in a package mailed to Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the self-proclaimed ‘Toughest sheriff in America’. The package was stopped and an x-ray revealed an explosive device.

Sheriff Joe did not done go and blow real good.

I wouldn't be surprised if some crazy left-winger from Vancouver mailed that package.

But yeah I saw this on the news and while it's understandable to harbor ill will towards someone like Arpacio, sending him death threats crosses the line, especially with the murder of several law enforcement individuals over the last few weeks.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a former resident of New York who currently lives in Arizona

I would say sending a bomb by mail is a little more than a death threat.

PHOENIX — An effort to allow people to sue over potential violations of religious liberty cleared the Arizona House of Representatives on Wednesday despite opposition from civil liberties groups who warn the measure will inspire waves of lawsuits over alleged First Amendment violations.

The GOP-led House voted 32-24 along party lines to move the bill forward after little debate. Senate Bill 1178 now goes to the Senate for passage.

The proposed law would allow people to sue over an “impending violation” of religious liberty, as opposed to waiting until after the attack has occurred. It protects the practice or observance of all religions, including actions motivated by religious beliefs, against state and local laws or policies.

Civil liberties groups have rallied against the bill, saying it would be a nightmare for businesses because it doesn’t specify what constitutes a potential violation of religious liberty.
At least all religions are protected, I guess.

Actually he's referring to the fact that you are obsessed with California and L.A. in particular.
