It's true. Felgie loves good phone...

Me too. But I slept in much later than I should have. But now I am wasting time on HFboards because I don't want to do the sales call I have to get done. Because my client is a jack ass.

Celebrity callers are an instant "turn off the station" moment for me.

I prefer the celebrity callers over the guys who played in high school and college and feel the need to share with the listeners.

Then we have to deal with Mazz for 15 minutes.

That was funny the first two times.

Now? Automatic turn the station.

I mean, I barely ever listen anymore, but when I do there are still "nope" moments for me.

Anyone remember the guy who called in last week that said "So I play on the checking line in my men's league, and it seems to me that Kelly and Peverley aren't doing the right things."?

I played in men's leagues and the only thing to do relating to checking is what guys pick up the tab afterwards; that guy had to be pulling their legs

Nearly peed myself when I heard that. The one benefit of the rec league caller is the inevitable "yahhh.." Mazz voice.

As far as celeb callers, I can't stand the kiss ass types like Mike in Attleboro and the other guy that just yells (I think his name is John). I do enjoy Ron in Vegas, Raffi, and Wayne in Grafton (during the cup run when he had A+ material).

I miss his rants but he rarely calls into the local stations anymore. He's pretty funny on twitter though.

I really miss DA. Not that Pacman isn't good too, I was just a huge DA fan though.

I'm sure he's a very nice person, but Adam Jones is terrible.

Yeah, he's too polite and lets bad callers ramble for wayyy too long. I will applaud him for talking Bruins constantly, but his analysis lacks substance.

I wish they chose Jim Murray... my approval of him has grown significantly since his game 7 celebration

I am not a fan of Bertrand, but he would have been a good choice for that slot.
I just think when they replace people on these shows, they should go with more familiar names.
Both Salk and Jones are espn-ized Felger wanna be's

Eh. He's okay. He ends every call the same and it annoys me to no end.

Click! Yea I agree and... btw thanks for the call... Continues thought. No dialogue with the caller.

I miss DA as well.

Dale Arnold and Michael Holley worked- Arnold is a Bruins guy, Holley is a Celtics guy; Holley wrote Belichicks book and was pretty tight with Francona. There is political **** with these two and its basically sports and they can go ALL FOUR of them and actually have a clue.

Salk is trying so freaking hard but I think he's struggeling- and he's a local kid.

The mid day Show on WEEI is good- Mutnansky who I hated has won me over. He's a sports nerd and can poke fun at himself and is pretty good sense of humor.

The morning show has improved since Minehan came aboard. The three of them are pretty good togehter and they talk more and take less callers which is a good thing.

I also like 98.5 in the morning- Fred is atleast in the ballpark with myself for being self centered but he can be pretty good- but he does whine alot and its about him (again I am right there with him)' I like Rich, and Wallach is always upbeat even if he has no clue what he is saying at times. My guy on that station was Crash- how the bleep they let this guy go is beyond me. Horrible, the guy was the funniest person on that station and the way he **** on Wallach was outstanding

I agree. When he first came to Boston I was watching batting practice at a Sawx game and he walked by me wearing a Red Sox Damon T shirt ( for Johnny of course) and me being the shy person I am knowing those teeth anywhere yelled to him. He came over and hung out for awhile until we had to move but what a nice guy- great stories of his upbringing, gig down South, talked a lot of sports. He was outstanding and wanted me to call in big time but couldn't do it.

I sit at the bar before Bruins games sometimes Kate just waiting for you to walk by so I can yell 'Kate08' btw- got in a solid nap today that did no long term tired damage and was able to get some things done- often a nap can be a day killer that destroys motivation and envergy. When used correctly a nap is beneficial but one extra roll over and screw it and the rest of the day can leave you felling like a Leafs fan around 10:30 last Monday

If Joey from the North End "Joey The Yankee Fan"? The guy who would always rub it in the faces of Sox fans on the Whiner Line?

Get him a tolerable co-host and I'd listen. Gresh makes my ears bleed.
