The last atleast 5 playoff games for the Bruins have gone the same way for the red sox as in win/loss

Eh, signing aging relievers to multi year deals in a high pressure market isn't exactly a smart investment strategy. In this case it would have worked, since Uehara has been nothing short of amazing, but in general IDK if I would condone giving guys like Uehara more than one or two years.

Me too, I keep getting the suspicion that we end up picking Moran though.

Something in the "water" down there in new york? Ridiculous what they're doing with backups/has beens/aging roster.

re: draft

Are the days of high priced prospects falling to the six/yanks over? Or does that still happen?

He's been pretty good up until these last two starts. I do think this team will be in the market for a starter at the deadline.

Now we'll never get the next Craig Hansen.

When you're a poor mans Bard like Hansen was for the Pirates (my roommate is a Bucs fan and eternally hates his guts), then you know you belong in a psych ward.

He literally lost it over night. His wicked slider became incredibly hittable and he lost it

i remember when they gave him up to get bay and being completely overjoyed.

then being really sad that manny was gone.

then realizing that being overjoyed and really sad were the only two ways a craig hansen outing could go. really sad if he blew whatever lead he had or overjoyed that he didn't kill somebody.

Literally could not have described the range of emotions of a Hansen outing more accurately.

It's the way I feel about Bard now. Just please don't kill anybody Daniel. We both know you have no idea where it's going at 95

the best was the last start he made last year against the jays.

1.2 innings, 6 walks, 2 hbp and left with the bases loaded and the stupid jays fans booed him off the mound. he literally gave them the game and they booed him off the mound. they should have given him a tim horton's donut stick or whateverthe**** they do up there.

I love the fact that Ortiz has learned to go the other way and hence increase average, and now that pitchers come inside to compensate, he crushes it.

I dont care what Aaron, Mays, Yaz, Killebrew, Kaline, Frank and Brooks Robinson, Stargell, and Clemente did after they hit 35, Papi goes the other way

stop hating on my man, he's clean as they come- jose Batista would vouch for him

Lefties need to stop busting him in with fastballs. You would have thought Diamond would have learned from Matt Moore's last outing

His bat speed is clearly still among the best in the league. He cleans those hips out better than anybody I've seen

Being "sad" when that fecal matter manny ramirez was traded never entered my mind...

Lackey has pitched better than his record...would be nice to see him grab a w.
