OT- Revolution's first game of the season tonight

Bumped this from April, cause I remembered there was a Revs thread at one time or another.

The Revolution have just clinched their 5th straight playoff berth with a 3-1 victory over Colorado.

I just read the first page of this topic not realizing it was from April. I knew that the season started in the spring...I was confused until I saw LR's "Now that the Bruins are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs" comment...

Revs won 3-1. Soccer is a good game. Start watching, people. I like the hockey, and watch every game, but seriously, the football is the game that unites.

Nope, FSN. I think they've dropped 56 from their channells because the announcer said something about the game being on TV 38.

They scored 2 in the last game also...the first since July where the scored more than 1 in a game. A stunning revelation considering the forwards and MFers they have.

If they can stay hot going into the playoffs.....

This team has come so close over the last 3 years, I wonder if the MLS front office wants Dempsey to stay so it can use a high profile / power-packed post season finish to enhance the league's image? Why else would they keep him from going to Europe?

The people I have talked to are saying Dempsey will probably be gone in January, they didnt want him to leave in the middle of the MLS season. The aren't trying to hold him back, but they didn't want to destroy the Revs for the playoffs and hope that some people would pick up Season Tickets for next year when the prices go up again.

Well, I won't mind if it goes towards a soccer-specific stadium....I really hate Gillette, a bit of a pain getting there. I'm hoping Menino's desire of putting one within the Boston city limits isn't just lip service.
