Available Defensive Defensemen?

I am wondering what defensive defensemen might be available via a trade in the next several weeks.

Specifically, I am curious about physical stay-at-home defensemen.

Please post if you believe that your team may make such a defensemen available via trade.

Oilers captain Jason Smith may be available. I believe he's eligible for arbitration, and is having a fine season so far. Last time he took the Oilers to arbitration, he was awarded wth a fairly large contract (2.1 or 2.3, somewhere in there).

My guess is that's too rich for the Oilers, and they may deal him.

Hall Gill has been steady for the Bruins, but management would certainly listen to offers...

Therien could still likely be dealt although not as cheaply as the beginning of the year.

Creg Rivet from Montreal could be trade...He's good, and have a big contract but if the Habs want to make some place for the prospects...

Also, if the Stephane Quintal could be trade for almost nothing but I only see hat if the Habs don't make the playoff...

Bryce Salvador has been pretty good for the Blues this year, but could probably be had in a deal for a scoring winger for Weight's line.

Alexander Khavanov is available, but isn't strictly a defensive defenseman by any means. Some might argue that he's not a defenseman at all... :p

Physical Stay at Home Defenseman with Leadership and getting into his prime:

Craig Rivet.

But money's an issue....
unless we pick up part of it.

The Habs feel that Komisarek is ready.

Once Sami Salo comes back, Marek Malik may be available.
