It should happen more. I think it will become the norm eventually but it's gonna take awhile to change the way managers do things. In this case, using Bastardo might have made more sense anyway because of the left/left matchups. It just didn't work out, and he threw a bad pitch to Votto.

The worst thing that could've happened to this team is for their division to be ******. We're not even in the top ten in the league, but because they are only 3-4 games back Amaro's not going to do anything.

Nothing worse than watching mediocre baseball.

Win and lose a few close games then get blown out. Repeat.

Ouch. Bengals with a TD and a FG and shutting out the Birds. ...Wait, this wasn't football? Sure looked like the Philly team got hit around and steamrolled.

I'd rather him sit back and do nothing than make a move for the sake of making a move.

I'm in the Cape May area this weekend. I was excited to get here so I could actually see the Phils on TV and spend some time wandering the beach.

Well, the weather has been boiled garbage and the Phils are even worse than that. I blame the Phillies for the weather, actually. Thanks for nothing you bums!

Well nobody wants that but when the team sucks there are ways of making it better

This could be the 17th straight game in which Brown has not walked. Why do I feel like the Phillies' coaches have gotten in his ear about being more aggressive?

They probably have. Walks are for suckers. They're more interested in production, not merely getting on base.

Edit: Nicely done!

seems like the phillies always have less then 9 base runners a game. that's f***ing redonkulous. i guess every pitcher they face is an all-star with a sub 1 WHIP

I don't think a homerun is too much to ask for.

I ****ing called it. I was talking to my dad, when Lee got picked off, Kratz would hit a homer. And he did. Then when Galvis was up, I said I could see him hit a homer off of him. And BAM! What a weird ****ing day...
