Well, he really just missed it. Pad was too high off the ice and the puck slid under it. Can't put much blame on him for that.

Oh, man. How was Bartkowski not called for hooking on that goal? He spun Stepan completely around with his stick.

You actually proved my point. Bruin had the puck long enough for the flow of the skaters to shift towards him and for Henrik to at least get into position to block the net.

I'm not going to say he'd stop it 99% of the time if he was on his game. More like 60-70%...but he wasn't even set. If he was on his game, he would've been set. That's the difference.

I knew someone would say "I suppose that was Hank's fault too", so Girardi sucking absolves Hank of being a scrub today?

Girardi definitely benefits from being paired with McDonagh and Staal. He gets exposed when he isn't paired with someone on their level.

Boston's best chances tonight are when we're on PP and when Girardi is on the ice...

Damn it, get Asham to start shooting and wrecking havock soon..

Yep; Girardi was clearly puck watching there instead of covering his man. Pathetic!

Third goal he is completely unable to see the shot because the defenceman and the forward have both crossed his path exactly as the puck is fired.

The worst thing about the folks blaming Hank here is that onall of the goals the actual problem is blatantly obvious. First goal Krug is wide open joining the play late; second goal Krug gets all the time he needs to get a good shooting angle and let the forwards get in the goalie's vision; third goal Callahan is too late in passing the puck carrier onto the Rangers D and he leaves his man (the goal scorer) as a wide open trailer. Torts' system is to collapse and this is what it invites. Torts and the skaters have thus far failed to adjust to the Bruins' consistent use of defencemen in attack.
Torts is the savior. Did you not know? Ask Kel & his apologetic followers....
