Nashville really has no reason to make a trade for the 4th overall. To get it done it is going to be an overpayment or somewhat in Nashville s favor.

Any shot of Barkov falling to sixth overall?

If Tampa takes Nischukin(sp) and Florida takes Lindholm, why not.

If Barkov falls to 5th, I don't see the Canes passing on him.

I would pass on that one too, I like Kesler but this has the potential to be a franchise center for us.

Nashville could trade the 4th to buff for the 8th+Ennis/Hodgson
Then at 8 draft Lindholm and have both Lindholm AND Forsberg on the same line.
Or
Nashville trades the 4th pick to buffalo for Vanek+16th+STL 2nd rounder.
Those are likely the scenarios involving nashville, buffalo and the 4th pick overall.

I'd def do Hodgson + the 8th seems like to much for buff to be giving up and don't see them doing it

I see edmonton and Nashville as good trading partners. Nashville has some great D, on the team and in the system, but are starved for scoring. Drafting Barkov, since he doesn't project to be a high scoring player, doesn't really solve their offensive woes. Josi would be a huge chip for the Oilers D core, and Gagner and Paajarvi would be great for Nashville's forward group. Essentially, I would expect edmonton to come out with Barkov and Nashville to come out with Lindholm, who could be great with Forsberg.

I would say the value is close and this trade suits both team's needs, but edmonton may have to add a little bit.
Josi just won MVP of the World Championships after leading his team with Nino N. to the finals and a medal for the first time in ages. Yes, it's not the Stanley Cup Finals or the Olympics, but the kid is 22 and there was some pretty solid talent in the field, especially by the end.

Long way of saying no chance. I swear Paajarvi and Gagner are in roughly 90% of Oilers' fans trade proposals.

I don't like that at all. Kesler, Bieksa and Burrows should be the new core for us, but that aside, IF we moved Kesler for futures, I'd want to squeeze Florida for the 2nd overall pick, even if it takes adding a few pieces from our end.
