Agreed! Oh just think about a team like Mexico hammering down USA. (Not because of a bad quality US. team, but a good quality Mexican one)

For the hundred time NO! Landeskog clearly had his skate on the blue line before the puck came over the line again.

Glad I finally saw a reply of that 3-1 goal. Clearly not offside which is as I thought when I first saw the goal. Not sure what people are seeing there.

In fact and I know some here won't believe me if it was Canada vs the Swiss, I'd cheer for the Swiss.
People want to grow the game and they automatically think growing it in the states......well a Swiss win will do wonders for getting more kids interested in hockey in Switzerland.
Way too much emphasis in growing the game in the US. I want it grown in more countries in Europe.
No disrespect at all. Im swedish so I cheered for a Swedish gold, but somewhere in my heart, I also wanted Swizz to win the gold. It would have been nice to see their joy, to win their first gold ever with a 100% winning streak, and beating usa with 3-0 in the semi! I celebrated the Swedish gold, but if Swizz would win it, I would have celebrated that too! So It was like a win before the game even been played

Yeah next WC i hope Norway or Denmark make it to the final

Can someone pleas tell me why its only 8teams competing on A-WC? i mean there is a lot more nations that play this sport why don't have like football? 32 nations competing for the WC title would be much funnier.

Edit: How dose your team make up with the language? if some of the guys speak English and the other speak French? what i have heard from my Canadian friend the french part of Canada refuse to speak English.

They learn it once they make it into the NHL. It's easier to take the money from ze English pigs when you speak their language.

I hope some kind of curse rains down on Swedish hockey for the next 100 years after seeing the gold helmet nonsense.

They will talk about it many years from now and May 19th, 2013 will live in infamy.

Great tourney until I witnessed that farce.

Expensive tickets.

I only attended Sweden - Canada myself. If I have to pick one game it will always be vs Canada.
Again, its no shows. Tickets in the playoffs are sold in advance. If a finn buy a ticket in advance then he might tear it apart now that the game didnt involve Finland.

Then they better get a team that can win gold. But I think they can (and should) appreciate the silver as well.

I don't think so. At those ticket prices people are not going to tear tickets apart. Probably more the case of companies buying tickets for PR purposes and people not interested.

I thought you have to completely clear the zone to untag the offside, if you go into delayed offside, its offside until you have totally gone over the blueline to clear it, even if your toe is on the blueline, it's still offside.. I thought Same goes for other "diretion", if the situation is not offside then it won't be as long as you have your heels touching the blue line untill the puck crosses it.. But maybe I just dont know the rule, it can be that you can tag off delayed offside by just touching the line.

It would be just logical, if the state off offside does not change to no-offisde to offside unless player is completely offside, why wouldn't it be the same thing in untagging delayed offside: completely over the blue line.

Yeah that's not an offside. If you don't know that much about the rules, maybe you shouldn't comment on the game much.

It's good thing that you have googled the rulebook well. I've been playing for 17 years without knowing that rule difference between untagging and going to offside. Next winter im going to save some meters on tagging off delayed offsides! You don't really think that kind of things too often when you think the rule is one way.

If you've really played for 17 years then you probably had to take a mandatory referee course of some type. Looks like they aren't doing a very good job with it over there. Or you weren't good student, naughty boy.

I don't know how it is / was done there, we actually had some exam when we were like 10 or 11 and that's about it. I quit when I were 14 and have been playing on so called beer-hockey teams that have all ages of players since then.
