United certainly clinched the title with style, as evidenced by this Rooney pass and Van Persie volley, second goal of a hat trick.

Now Dortmund is running over Real Madrid, 4-1 in the 75th. One more away goal might give Real some hope, but Bayern pretty much shattered any hope of a Clasico final at Wembley.

Thank god no Classico at Wembley. I can't stand Barca or Real Madrid, or La Liga for that matter. Looking like an all Deutschland final if both teams hold up in the second leg.

What a hell of a game Dortmund-Bayern would be. You have to think Dortmund will want this one badly as they already had to relinquish their title defense to Bayern as well as the German cup. I'm hoping the Spanish teams can't come back from the holes they're in because I would love to see Dortmund-Bayern.

I'm coming around to your view. The Clasico is, for the moment, a bit overrated, and the truth is that the Bundesliga, which I watched during the olden days of "Soccer Made In Germany" on my local PBS station, is now the best domestic league in terms of overall competition, atmosphere, fan friendliness in terms of ticket prices, etc.

Newcastle's ground will temporarily be renamed St. Jude's Park.

Sp*rs drop important points in a 2-2 draw at Wigan, or salvaged an important point depending how you look at it.

For the 18th straight year Happy St. Totteringham's Day! Arsenal secures a Champions League spot. Sox complete a sweep on the road, Bruins take a 2-0 series lead in addition to celebrating St. Totteringham's Day. What a great sports day!!!

True, I always just view top 4 as Champions League but ya 4th place does have to get through the qualification round, it's usually a pretty favorable matchup but still can't take it for granted. Just hope they don't play Celtic, that matchup always tears me apart.
