Brandon Sutter for Nikolai Kulemin

How is the value for both sides on this?

Does Toronto need to add, or Pittsburgh?

If Toronto loses Bozak this offseason, a C would have to added one way of the other.

Too much long term risk for Pitts, IMO.

It's possible that they would be forced into a situation where they might lose Malkin (not saying that it's likely to happen) a year or two down the road. There is very little to step in in the next little while after Sutter.

Both are 3rd line guys. Pretty lateral move for both teams but value-wise, Sutter has a bit more. Kulemin might have had more during his 30 goal year, but I don't know if he's going to be that type of player for us again.

The only incentive I could see for Pitt to do this is that Kulemin has demonstrated chemistry with Malkin. Unfortunately, Malkin already has a RW and Sutter has more value than Kulemin due to his position and the fact that he is a better shutdown player (which is what Pitt needs)

Agreed. Love Kuli but I'd trade him yesterday for Sutter

Sutter has more value, I don't think Pittsburgh has much interest here. I like Kulie and all but Leafs fans overrate his trade value.

Kulemin is a UFA in a year, so I'm not sure if Pittsburgh would trade Sutter for Kulemin just to have Kulemin walk after the season.

I'd love Sutter on the Leafs though (I'm guessing many other teams would too ).

I think Sutter is worth quite a bit more than Kulemin.

Pittsburgh won't move sutter unless they get a 3rd C back. That's why when they traded Jordan Staal to Carolina they wanted to replace thier 3rd line center in which they got Sutter in return.
