Domi better be first on each and every one of your offensive upside list.

I havent seen Wennberg. I have seen the Swedish team at the WJC, but dont particularly recall him. So Im not going to pretend I know what I am talking about and "include" him in some list. Apparently that doesnt stop others from doing so.
Wennberg is actually better defensively, at worst they are tied. And yes, I have ssen him. I also see a lot of Gauthier and he can probably come in right now and be a good penalty killer. The question about him is whether his offense is good enough to be more than a defensive minded 3rd liner. He is compared to Martin Hanzal.

Horvat is better defensively IMO and probably in mosts opinion.

This "list" represents all three leagues of the CHL as well as a Euro league. If you think you have a good handle on all of those then you are fooling yourself but you arent fooling anyone else.

You most certainly do not have a handle on Lazar's game.

Just my opinion. In the games I saw him play, he seemed to have very good offensive instincts but the production wasn't there. This discrepancy was greatest for him as compared to the other players, imo, which suggests to me that he may have a lot more room for offensive growth if he can be a part of more converted opportunities.

I watched a Wennberg game.

Similar to when watching a game live I stopped ~5 minutes into the third lol

I was surprised at how simple he keeps things and I mean that in a good way. The game I watched he was just doing all the little things like chipping pucks in deep rather then trying to walk around more experienced defenders, back checked well for a winger, won battles for loose pucks in the neutral zone, he was playing on the second PK unit and didn't look out of place at all for such a young winger.

That game specifically he wasn't doing anything special offensively. Mostly just got the puck in deep and worked the cycle. It was only 1 game so I'm sure that's not his entire offensive game but he just wasn't making any costly mistakes. Looked very very dependable.

It was only 1 game though, I'll have to watch more later but commentary in a language you barely understand is pretty exhausting lol

I have a very good read on Gauthier's game from all season. I saw a few games from Lazar, Horvat and Domi in the season and quite a few in the playoffs. Wennberg I saw a few times on a stream and highlights.

Gauthier is much better than Lazar defensively.

You admited to not seeing much of these guys but you easily defend the preospect you saw more of without seeing the others.

If anyone is dedicated enough to watch entire games to scout Wennberg I would recommend you look at the games late in the season.

The video quality is also pretty good in those two.

Nonsense. I will say that Gauthier is impressive defensively though, but I dont think there is anyone in the draft who is "much" better than Lazar defensively.

Youre a Q guy. Im a WHL guy. Ive watched in and around 100 WHL games this year, half of them live. I wouldnt claim to have a good handle on that league, never mind the other three. Decent enough as a layperson but I wouldnt claim to have any authority on other players from other leagues, even though I have seen all but one of the players on the list multiple times.

Fact of the matter is you are out of your depth when discussing Lazar. The decent thing to do would be to admit as much, not sit here and argue with someone who has seen him much more than you have. I wouldnt pretend to tell you what's what with Gauthier or any other Q player.

I think Detroit wants him quite badly. Sort of a nice mix between Swedishness (and skill) and a player Mike Babcock could work with.

I have seen a lot of Gauthier and enough to get a certain understanding of the game that other prospects play.

I sse the Q more since i live in Quebec. I wont say I know more than you on Lazar because i dont. I do think that Gauthier is better defensively. It is his specialty.

He is quite good defensively but he doesnt have the speed of Lazar and he isnt near as physical either (despite his size) so it sounds like what you are claiming is 2+2=5.

I know Lazar is faster and more physical. I pointed that ut in my ranking.

i think his positioning, stick work and smarts makes up for it. Just his size is already a boost and his speed is the worst of the 5 but still good considering his size.

Its hard to explain why but he is very good defensively.
