Bergevin looking at Seth Jones = me going in a Porshe dealership.

We both know we can't afford it, but we can't just look away.

Personally, I have a strong feeling that Timmins will take McCoshen at 25 if he's there and I think he will be. Pure speculation of course but speculation is about all we have at this point unless someone has had a chance to peek into Timmin's notebook.

I was really hoping for Zykov with our #25 pick, but I don't see any chance of him being there after 19.

I know someone alluded to this in an earlier post but I had already thought McCoshen sounded like Ryan McDonaugh v. 2.0. I really think that's who Timmins will target with our #25 pick. fwiw, which admittedly isn't much.

Oh please God let the Habs draft either Zadorov or Domi and I promise I'll be good to the public.

I'd love to see the Habs grab one of Domi or Zadorov at #25 but honestly, I don't see any chance of either of them being there. I guess I'm a pessimist but those 2 guys and Zykov were at the top of my "wish list" for our 1st pick, but don't see that happening.

Or he could be Colby Cohen v 2.0...

Hey guys, I'm concluding my latest mock draft and I'm at the 25th pick of the Habs. Here are the players already taken:

The obvious players + London Knights Trio + Zykov, Gauthier, Mantha + Lazar, McCoshen, Erne, Petan, Hartman.

Still available: Morrissey and Morin.

Do we go off the boards? Thanks!

True enough. But that's what makes the draft interesting, no?

Bergevin & Comp. are there for a reason, the Habs have many assets to trade up for a unique player that can be part of our core. Don't fret yet our dreams can still come through. These three teams (Saskatoon excluded) are great and it's a chance to see them play against the best in NA (Juniors)

Morrissey for sure, he's a timmins pick. Or Burakowsky

Why not both? They'll play together next year!

Burakowsky, Wennberg, Rychel, Klimchuk, Bowey, Dauphin.

Your two candidates are pretty good ones, I shall say. I'd take Morrissey over any of the guys I listed but the two Swedes, and I'd take Morin before Klimchuk and Dauphin.

The risk is a lot higher with him than a top 60 pick. He's already 18(late birthday) and hockey sense is a question mark, some of those guys struggle even in the AHL.

Of course, anything can happen after the top tier players are gone but moving up 3-4 places at the draft to get a player is one thing, moving up 8-10 places is a very different proposition. Still, someone interesting might fall within reach of the Habs. We can only hope.

There are up to 16-17 players on those 4 teams playing that will be drafted, so it's pretty logical for a GM like MB and a head scout like Timmins to be there, doesn't mean they'll trade up or down.

Size or no size one guy I'm sure they would have a hard time passing on is Domi, he looks like a special player with the puck plus he has a high compete level. Could be a bigger/faster version of Giroux, maybe a bit less HS.

Honestly Petan has not stood out to me, maybe used to having more time and spaece but hasn't created much offense.

Domi is not small by any measures.. It's like saying Bouillon is small...Or Datsyuk....

Is Domi a tough customer/good fighter type or is he trying to do things differently than his father?

He's not a fighter, he's a high skill guy with lots of speed and smarts. However, he does play with a lot of grit/fire/spunk/tenacity.

In their game tonight, he just made an absolutely incredible between the legs pass to Horvat who batted it in .

He's tough. Not exactly a fighter though.

Not at all. He's not a scrapper, but he throws a big hit every once in a while. He's more of an agitator/pest.
