What do we do if we lose?

I'm not saying the sky is falling or anything like that but the possibility is there that we lose this series.

-Fire Q and his buddies (Kompon is disaster)
-Finally dump Bolland (Should send a message to rest of core)
-Get a PP specialist from point who can actually get shot thru on net
-Let youth like Morin/Pirri have there shots

Truth is I doubt all but the Morin/Pirri part happen

But for the love of god please get rid of Bolland

I agree on the PP specialist, meant to add that as an option. I don't care if we win the rest of the games, the PP is a ****ing joke and is lacking a lot of talent. We need someone to come in and run it, and someone in front of the net.

How this was neglected, I have no idea.

The best option on there is get a legit #2C followed by more physical talent.

And I don't want just any #2C..I want one that plays the body, and isn't going to go into a shell in the playoffs. No Pirri, Bolland, or Kruger.

I would be Ok with Firing Q ONLY for the sake of changing philosophy's up, not because he is a bad coach.

Firing Bowman isn't an option, he has done pretty well with putting quality players on the ice. Needs a little tweaking but I trust his judgement on talent.

We do NOT need another 1st pairing Dman, our D is fine.

I'd sign Mark Streit, give Pirri a shot, put Q on notice, and fire Kompon.

Mark Streit won't come cheap, but he and Leddy on the point during power plays would be nasty.

Streit has been terrible defensively these last few years

Would rather try to find someone who isn't a liablity 5 on 5 at the $$$ he will demand

I agree on all points! Stan built this team for the reg season only.

Q has to go with the talent he has on this team.
Our PP specialist is Leddy or even Seabrook who never see 1st unit time.
No doubt we need to see Morin and Smith play.

You have to find out who the problem lies with. I think everyone can tell what the Hawks need to do especially on the PP. So is it the players not following up on the coaches orders or is it the coach giving bad coaching.

2nd is getting a mix of players in, I am fine with having guys like, Kane, Hossa, Sharp, who can do amazing things with the puck. However along side them you need some guys who can play a gritty but smart game, we don't need Carcillo and his stupid penalties but compare 2010 role guys to 2012. In terms of talent it's not so far off that it's not comparable, but it's the type of players.

We took guys like Ladd, Buff, Kopecky, Brouwer, Madden and replaced them with guys like Frolik, Shaw, Stalberg, Kruger, Handsuz. The first set of guys is guys who can play that phsysical gritty hockey and still produce, the later isn't.

Again there is a difference between goon and physical gritty player. The Hawks need a few of those guys so when teams get physical we have people who can match it and still produce and won't let it control their game.

The PP is the other thing, I'm not even sure we need to add people. Campbell is the only loss from the 2009-10-11 PP that was so good and Leddy is a very capable player. To me it's the system and again, don't know if that's coaching or players. But why we don't have a player to just sit in front of the net all PP long is mind boggling.

OMG! Look at what happens when you put people around a goalie and make him actually work to make a save, and a goalie who BTW is better then either goalie we have faced in the playoffs the last 2 years.

Because of the cap, the answer is we probably do very little. Stalberg and Bickell will probably walk but maybe they hold on to one of them. Replace the other with a kid and move on. The playoffs are hard, good teams lose. If they don't win the Cup, then they'll try again next year. You don't want to do what Philly and then Vancouver did and overhaul your lineup based upon a post season loss. They need to fix the power play, but they aren't going to fire anyone after this season.

No, we got too cutesy with the team full of shrimps and we are either going to reinvent the wheel doing it or go back to the drawing board...or never win the Cup again. It's pretty clear.

Q will be the Mike Ditka of this Chicago era. Both had tons of talent but can only mustard up one championship.

This team is too good to entrust to Q or Bowman much longer at all IMO. It's like a champion race horse, you can only lose so long before you lose your ride and they go with another jockey, or trainer. Same here. Need to turn this **** around and get it done.

Tell Q that he failed at his opportunity to chose his own coaches and show Kompon the door...also tell Q he's on his very last chance.

Get rid of Bolland...either package him with our 1st and whatever it takes to move way up in the draft...or create some package for a legit 2c with size and scoring (or at least finishing) ability.

Other than that, I wouldn't do much. I don't agree with the people who say we aren't built for the playoffs...I think the problems are more coaching-related (including that Q perpetuates a lack of accountability over most of the team). I'm not a fan of Tortorella's manner, but I appreciate the fact that if you're playing badly and not contributing he's not going to give you time just because you're a "star"...I wish Q would employ the same approach (and not just on players he dislikes)

Give more of our prospects a chance.

Also wouldn't be against listening to offers on #7

If they were to make a core adjustement move ,,, He makes most sense value wise and with the development of Hjalmarsson

I think some people around here vastly overrate our talent. The Hawks have great top end talent, but the Hawks aren't the only talented team in the league.

Well, agree to disagree then. I think this is a dynasty, whether it wins any more than just the 1 Cup is up to the people running it. Obviously not everyone shares my opinion but yeah, I think we're ****ing up a great thing over having the wrong complementary parts, which is frustrating as can be. You keep the Cup team together, they win multiple Cups, I think we all agree there. Then why the **** don't you try to replace the guys you lost instead going in the complete opposite direction to prove some kind of point, or whatever the **** they are trying to do with this. I hope it works, I've hoped it works, but let's see some ****ing results pronto because this reinventing the wheel **** is really ****ing embarrassing when you lose.

I would. He is still a #1 pairing guy and those guys don't get moved often.

Plus who replaces him, sure Hammer developed but you move Seabrook and bring in who? Suddenly our strength becomes a weakness again because Rosi is likely gone too.

Now it's
Keith-Hammer
Oduya-Leddy
???-???

No thanks.

What do you mean going in the complete opposite direction? I think Stalberg, Bickell, Shaw are a pretty good approximation for Brouwer, Versteeg, and Ladd. Obviously they didn't replace Buff but that is impossible. The difference between 09-10 and this playoff run is that Toews and Kane aren't both averaging over a point per game. If Toews was sitting on 14 points instead of 2, I imagine we'd have a different outlook on the Hawks playoff chances. Plus I wonder how everyone was feeling in 09-10 after we dumped 2 of the first 3 against Nashville by 4-1 margins.

Fire Q and his staff.
Tell Bowman, McCub and the rest of his cronies, they are on short leashes.

So no accountability for players?
