I bought the ultimate god pack for sure. It was way worth it. I hate how all the good skins cost gems though.

I haven't heard of DS before (it's been a while and I've been playing mostly campaign and normal ladder games) but I'll have to check it out. Does it require the expansion (HOTS)?

I've played it a few times pre-HOTS but it was my favorite custom game behind Mafia. Not sure if it requires HOTS now, but I doubt it.

hey guys, I filled out an online application form for employment with an organization a while back, e-mailed my resume and everything, but haven't heard from them. I'm new to this newfangled online thing, and my aloof status gives me a certain mystique, but do I call them now, or...?

Rob Ford is my favorite mayor ever. Like a obese, crack smoking teddybear.

Who wouldn't love Chris Farley as a mayor?

NHL 14 is apparently not being developed for the Xbox One, (why did they pick that name?) and it has no backwards compatibility with the 360.

That works for me because from what Microsoft confirmed about the Xbox One today, I won't be getting one most likely.

I still need to check the full fact sheet, but I'm sort of with you ATM.

I think that backward comparability is important. Without it, it creates a definite break from the previous generation, and it takes time to build up that catalog of palatable games.

Not having it is a business decision to save money, but not having it now is also going to cost them even more, as with what we saw with the PS3, the start is everything. PS3's initial price kept everyone, including me, away. They did get Blu-ray dominance out of it, but the devs ended up taking their previously PS only stable of games and went multiplatform and even exclusive compared to the previous generation because that's where North Americans were.

I was a Nintendo kid growing up but PS changed all that. While I own multiple systems the PS3 gets the most use by a large margin.

I only played the first on the Gamecube. What a great game that was. I heard the other two weren't as good.

They weren't AS good, but they were still great games in their own right. Been playing Super Metroid lately... so good.

Reverse compatibility is a big thing for me, and it seems that no one will be doing it. I don't think there is one clearer thing that bugs me with these gaming companies. I understand if Super Nintendo doesn't play NES games, that was the early 90s. However, that, along with price, are big reasons why I will not buy these new systems.

FIFA 10 and FIFA 13 are not different enough to make me **** myself over a new release. Same with NHL 11 and NHL 13, same with racing games. They entertain my friends and I just fine, and kill time nicely when there is extra time. The releases that have made me buy the game immediately have been much fewer and farther between in recent years.

Edit: The name "Xbox One" is a lousy name. "One" is the song title that every band has...U2, Metallica, Shinedown, Creed (not good by any measuring stick, FTR), etc...and there have already been two Xboxes. Lazy naming.

I feel ya. I doubt I'm going to buy any of these systems. Props to the WiiU for being backwards compatible, but evidently that ship is sinking like a stone, so what good does that do.

I wouldn't be shocked if a shift happens with this generation of consoles, though. PC games are now much more "user friendly" due to Steam, and could potentially apply more pressure on the console market.

It seems like such a simple and obvious thing to have. I'm a little crabby at the decision to leave it out. I won't be buying it either, at least until the price drops.

Awesome game. NHL 14 needs to let you use Horse heads on your players.

But yeah...pretty much everything you said. I didn't get an Xbox 360 until I got one new for $180. I'm ok with them at that price. At >$300? At that price I can get:

-something with an engine
-something that shoots (in no particular order) arrows/metal projectiles/potatoes/water balloons
-upgrade/buy new road bike
-new goalie pads
-a regional vacation
-numerous bar tabs/bottles of a certain Canadian liquor that comes in a purple velvet bag

You get the idea...my money will go to other entertainment that involves (IMO) more impressive forms of science.
