What the signing deadline this season?

I mean... I THINK Archambeault warrants being signed (but probably an ECHLer to begin), but if they were to sign him, he would PROBABLY have been signed...

The article doesn't state that Nygren will be coming over in NA next season. It says

Quote:

Quote:
In these circumstances, it is difficult to say where the young defenseman will play next year.

"We'll have to talk with the Canadiens to see what their intentions are", said Carnback, restating that his client already has a contract with Farjestads regarding next season.

I don't think Magnus is reluctant to play in the American League, but it is to be determined whether his development would be best served in Hamilton or by playing one more season in Farjestads".
So no new information on the matter really except for the fact that his agent think Nygren would be willing to play in the AHL.

Also regarding Collberg :

Quote:

It seems him and Nygren will be at the "camp de perfectionnement" (is it the rookie camp or the development camp?) but there's no way Collberg stays in North America next fall.

If he would somehow crack the roster, he would stay in North America. But we're talking about a highly unlikely scenario.

Probably but the article says nothing about that. It says he will honour his contract with Farjestads. It doesn't even say if he will be at the main camp so he might not even have a shot at making the team. Usually, prospects under contract in Sweden don't even come to the main camp because the camps in Sweden are at the same time.

Stephane Leroux of RDS reports Habs won't sign Archambault.

Like I said before, I hope Josiah Didier will be worth it because Pageau is sure worth it for Ottawa! It was a dumb move when it happened... And I got crap for calling it when it happened... thinking Pageau would still be available after Ottawa's pick was dumb. Timmins tried to make up for it by drafting the next Quebecer on the list (Archambault) but he wasn't and has never been a Timmins type of pick.

Pageau isn't a Quebecer.

We'll see what Pageau becomes, he has good speed but his AHL stats were far from overwhelming. His playoff numbers look good primarily thanks to Carey Price and that 3 goal game. Outside that it's 1-2-3 in 7 games.

His place of residence is in Quebec because he was drafted in the QMJHL.

Ottawa and Gatineau are a bridge apart. Who cares about the actual provincial border? He's French Canadian.

And Rod Langway was born in Taiwan. Doesn't make him Taiwanese or less American.

Pageau may have been born in Ottawa, but he is from Gatineau.

I'd like to hear what you think about Patty Kane, Giroux and these type of players.

We could use those guys, but the only thing Pageau has in common with them is size.
