Eh, not really. Pittsburgh let off for some reason and Alfredsson was pretty clutch with that goal

Alfredsson scores to make the score look better in the morning.

Alfredsson knows what it means.

Imagine if Pittsburgh had a good goalie? Price for Malkin?

He has the presence of mind to complain as he spins and falls. That's pretty hilarious on Orpik's part.

They don't need a good goalie. Someone who doesn't suck as much as Fleury will do. See : Tomas Vokoun

I should add that Ottawa is a great team in their own right, but Anderson has a lot to do with it.

I also think Ottawa drives the net about 2 million times better than Montreal.

Hopefully Alfredsson is alright.
It really was mainly about goaltending. Our advantage over Ottawa was our depth, but they killed that by almost taking Eller's head off. Once Eller went down, our most efficient center for points during the year, that was a big step back.
After that, add the injuries to Gionta, MaxPac, Prust, and White that pretty much gets rid of any depth we had.

Injuries are part of the game but suffering so many from game 1 was a killer.

That being said, we still could have made it a much closer series if Price played close to the way Anderson did.
I mean, it's pretty rare that I hear our opponents, including their coach, say that we probably deserved a better fate. To me that really said it all.

Probably, but injuries happen to everyone. That many, not always, but they still do. I think this year in Hamilton will help develop our prospects there and get even better depth.

That's what real fans do.

They don't freak the **** out and boo everyone. It's a tough loss, but they're showing they're behind their team.

Montreal can take note instead of booing at anything and everything.

Same reason Habs fans cheered for the team after their 6-1 loss in game 5. They're fans and still appreciate their team.

They are a team that is propped up by their goalie. Habs are not like that at all IMO. Price has had many "meh" games this year and the team has still won. I can't remember too many where Price neded to stand on his head like Anderson has been doing.
Lets hope the Habs can get some help on d, a team is not going far with Gorges , Diaz and Boullion.

We did cheer after being humiliated in the 1st series didn't we? At least, the people who were still there. But honestly, I prefer for people to leave than to boo their team.

@FriedgeHNIC
Asked linesman for puck after game, too MT @erinnicks Alfie, asked if they can come back. "Probably not. They have too much depth."

The ****?

I'm absolutely stunned. I mean, it's obviously true. I mean, you can think it if you want...but to say it? That seems so much like a guy waiting to retire...but not too fair for his teamates though.
