I really don't like the idea of young offensive guys like Stephan getting a letter. It's really difficult putting up points consistently in this league; they don't need the added pressure of having a letter on their jersey while they're still earning their stripes.

Slightly OT, I honestly think giving the C to Ovechkin was the biggest factor in his play going downhill after his first two seasons. Some guys just don't need those extra expectations placed on their shoulders.

Because that's four.

Can Lundqvist wear CAA across his jersey, or is that too much to ask?

Seriously though, Cally gets C, obviously, and Staal, Girardi with As

I wouldn't mind Nash with an A but after this playoff performance I'm not too sure about that.

Agreed here. Callahan and Staal keep their letters and Stepan gets one. I can see them sticking with Girardi though. Stepan will get a letter at some point during his career here.

My feelings exactly. Maybe Stapan is ready in a few years, but let him establish himself as a leader first. Putting it on him to early might have the opposite effect.

Girardi or Stepan should get the A.

Girardi is the clear front-runner for the next available permanent letter. Not surprising either. Longest tenured skater. Heart and soul guy. Has been wearing a temporary letter with Staal out. This isn't a video game or rec league where the most talented guys on the team get the letters by default.

Three As in any single game. Two guys split it home/away.

Cally with the C, Staal and Girardi with the A's. I can see Nash or Boyle as the backups in the event of an injury.

Man, I miss Staal. I want him to keep the A, but it's tough with how little he seems to play in a season these days....

I don't think he does. If the most talented players got the letters Duchene would be captain of the Avs.
