Ottawa's offense blows. Vokoun was ripe for the blowout tonight.

I think the Pens are the Heat of the NHL. Their offense is ridiculous.

Many speculating his time is up in New York. Dreger also said teams would like Richards at 9 million over 3 years if he is bought out. I don't really remember anyone else besides Eklund reporting interest in him from the Flyers, but I wonder if they would be? I only see them interested in they trade Couts though.

why the LOL. I give em credit for actually doing it. The Flyers would have never done anything like that. scratching a "star" player whos stinking up the place. they would just throw him back out there on the 1st line, PP and PK units.

I saw this brilliantly prescient (done when Richards was signed) cartoon elsewhere. Original source is 7thinningsketch.com.

Here's the first I have actually heard about the salary cap in 2014-15.

http://blogs.edmontonjournal.com/201...innesota-wild/

Quote:
Former NHL GM Craig Button wonders if teams will try to sign free agents to one-year contracts so they can see where the salary cap goes in 2014-15. It’s coming down about $6 million from the 2012-13 season, but maybe it will go back up to $70-million-plus in 2014-15.
Now it's Button, but he still is very respected in the hockey world. Imagine if the Flyers get all that cap space again! Homer's dream.

Torterella isn't doing himself any favors either...he'll be "scratched" after this series as well..

As far as the Pens..I truly do not want to see them win a cup. I don't mind Boston at all and they are a good team that should give Pitt a good run for their money.

I do credit Shero for being smart enough to pick up Vokoun as insurance knowing how unreliable "Flower" is in the playoffs. Wish the Flyers were as smart instead Holmgren's insurance for Bryz and Leighton was Boosh...

Need to add Gaborik....although he scored for them for the most part except in the playoffs of course.

Torts wanted him to block shots instead though

I agree with you that Boston will give the Penguins all that they can handle and might just take them down. I just don't get it with Ottawa. In order to beat the Penguins, a team has to do just that and beat them physically. When that happens, the scoreboard will take care of itself. Boston will do that and it will be a blood bath.

I missed this about one week, but found it today in the photoshop thread.

The Pens aren't even trying to look like men lately, when the only thing Orpik can think of in that situation is going after Neil's balls...

I can understand flying off the handle if someone is mugging you, but two shots to the the balls? Really?
