Also would like to point out that SJ doesn't lose elimination games at home. They just don't. I'm very confident we take game 6 and then it's a crap shoot. They also only ever get knocked out on the road. Some examples: 2008- Game 7 vs CGY win; Game 5 win vs Dallas; 2009- Game 5 win vs Anaheim; 2011- Game 7 win vs Detroit. And every one of those years and any in between from 2008 to now we have been knocked out on road. We will win game 6 on Sunday.

Sharks definitely laid an egg tonight, no need to be all emo about it.

Some ungodly stats for home teams in the semi's with a combined 14-2 record.

Dude that was a deflected shot from the point on the PP. Literally the easiest possible way for him to get on the scoresheet, especially since he hogs practically the whole PP.

I have to say I was really disappointed in Thornton today. He needed to be super jumbo but instead he reverted to slow joe.

What is more frustrating to me than anything is that Detroit is up on the Hawks 3-1 with possibly the WORST defense ever assembled by a playoff team and I know the sharks can beat the wings if they met next round.

I can't believe how many of you have already thrown in the towel. It is one loss. I'm confident we will win Sunday. You get it to Game 7 and anything can happen.

Really hope Demers replaces Irwin. Then split the Hannan-Stuart line.

Vlasic-Braun
Stuart-Boyle
Hannan-Demers

Boom! Comeback win!

Its too bad nothing ever goes right for this team in the playoffs. Theres always something that does them in every year.

With the way LA is forechecking the past game and a half, a puck-mover on every line is more essential than ever.

Pretty sure Demers was benched for the 3rd. Tmac is reluctant to change anything on D but maybe the loss will change his mind.

Did Demers even play after that boarding call? I thought he was an ineffective jack ass the lowest of the low

A history of disappointment and underachievement makes blind optimism difficult. To hell with it though, I'll bring the hope on Sunday:

The Sharks can't finish to save their lives. That might be their downfall.

Irwin is so slow. He's only a step faster than Murray.

Hannan looks fast compared to Irwin, and people said he was slow.

No, think he sat out after and the whole third period. Even than, Demers>Irwin. Irwin has been terrible. I can't recall the play on the first goal against but I thought he had all the time in the world then just turned it over.

I think Pavs needs to go back to the 3rd line. Put Wingels up with Couture and Marleau and something something something. I want Hamilton in, if his defense is as good as advertised then he'll be at least useful on the 4th line.

Funny how Jumbo always gets a free pass with his mistakes and huge turnover rate, but Boyle gets the puck taken away and it's going to stay with him for weeks on here.

You can make the claim that Couture was sandbagging it a lot more than Marleau tonight. Couture had how many chances tonight? He had one shot and one missed shot. Took only five draws and went 2-3. Had that one blocked shot but other than that, what did he do? If we want to put Couture on the pedestal like people have been doing this season, he's got to take his share of the responsibility and he was poor tonight.
