I think he will perform better with players that have more skill. He has some under rated playmaking skills. Im starting to wonder if he doesnt like contact. Part of that could be his wirey frame. With added weight, he could be a real beast out there.
He works out with Gary Roberts so you would think that strength would be automatic, although as Kadri showed after working out with GR it isn't always an automatic you will have the fitness of a Stamkos just because you are going there....

You never know with OA's. Players sometimes jump out a suprise but I really cant see that with Kristoff. Best case scenario is a good 2 way centerman with 15-20 goal potential. On weak team could be in the top six forwards like he was last year. Also a good teammate and character guy.

Martin getting drafted by my favourite team Really think he was underestimated in this draft and us having a collapse later in the season affected his ranking unfairly.

Teskey has been traded to Kitchener for a 10th round pick.

I'd say i'm happy and sad to see him move on. Possibility of him finding his game and next level with new team.

Honestly Teskey can play but his game is more suited for a Kitchener type offense. He has a blistering shot, but pretty average skater. James Boyd/ Dave Cameron style is not for everyone.

Steelheads CHL import draft selected:

14 Mississauga Mississauga Artem Rasulov Forward 5.11.5 152 Irbis 1996-06-09

He needs to eat more carbs in his diet , 152 lbs might be an error ? if not the case he will need to at least gain 25 -30 lbs to play in this league!

It would be great if Rasulov could turn out to be a Tolchinsky type of player ! Actually he is almost 5 inches taller than him. Time will tell, I just like to see more beef on players , like how Nazem Kadri gained some muscle mass and strength last year . Rasulov is still young and will fill out.

Glad to see guys like Cord, Burnside and Babinstev get invites to development camps.

As for Rasulov I have seen undersized guys compete and have success in the OHL. But like any import it might be until December when he starts to really find his game.

Just an FYI, it seems as if Day was invited to U17 camp, despite not being on the 68 player invite list released a few weeks ago or at the Gold Cup in May.

Give the kid a chance before you **** all over him. Players with slight builds have thrived in the league before and will again. Let him grow into his body naturally and put on muscle in a smart and timely fashion.

It's pretty much a given that Day will be on the U-17 team at the World Hockey Challenge. What's disappointing is that he won't be playing at the Mentorship Cup. Would have been great to see how he stacks up/able to dominate the best '98's in Canada.

Not necessarily, Ekblad was in the Mentorship Cup after he was drafted to the Colts, so you never know.

While his absence from the Gold Cup was somewhat understandable since he didn't play in an Ontario branch, his absence from the August camp list (here) made me think that it was possible he wouldn't be there.

From what he's said though, he'll be there.

The invite list has already been released and he's not on it, so I doubt we see him.
Disappointing, for sure.

Could any of you Steelhead fans give me some insight on whether Stuart Percy is coming back as an over-ager. Can you guys give me a percentage on the possibility of him coming back......

10% chance he is back in Mississauga. He would be better served developing in the AHL over the OHL.

Day wasn't on the roster of players when it was announced. Something to do with him not playing under the Hockey Canada umbrella for his minor hockey career, unlike Ekblad and McDavid who obviously both played for Canadian teams (Sun County & Toronto Marlboros).
