Regarding age demographics and the logo- I've noticed most college aged people (around age 20) like me seem to love it.

I'm 30, a fan since the first year in dallas, and a north stars history buff... and I love the new look.

Demographics of those who like it and don't would be interesting to figure out.

Really not a fan of the way that shade looks; was really hoping for a forest green, or even a military-ish olive...
With every monitor showing green slightly different, that's hard to answer. It's not a military or forest green though.

24, not really into it at all. I think I could like it, and I think it could be a lot worse, but that D on the Star is terrible. The colors aren't my favorite either, but at least they aren't red, white, and blue. They are less drab and boring than our current jerseys, and thank god there is no freaking number on the front. I guess I'll reserve judgement for when I see these things in action, but I don't see myself buying this one either. Feels amateurish to me.

I'm 21 and I really am no fan of it. I find the alignment is all off and I don't like the bevel effect on the D very much. The absence of gold is also off-putting, and circular logos in general are overdone.

Just my opinion of course, but I'm disappointed.

I wish people stopped acting like the circle logo is going to be the main logo.

A lot of people are guessing, but yeah, it's not. We're not Columbus, thankfully.

That was a Minnesota Stars thing, but that throwback was botched not embracing the golden yellow, or hell, even a metallic gold.

Good intentions only carry you so far amd they failed to either "throwback" or move forward in a "classic" manner which was the stated goal.

The only thing they accomplished was mediocrity and I think we suffer throuh enough of that on the ice lol.
You are obsessed with "classic."

Losing gold doesn't matter. Silver will end up looking better.

Ok but the positioning of the circle logo doesnt make it any less trendy

I'm not obssesed with "classic", Gaglardi was.

It was his stated goal and he failed lol. I am but calling him on it.

Call me old fashioned, but when someone says they are doing something a certain way I expect results that coincide with their approach.

As for silver vs. gold there is no correct answer. You prefer silver and I prefer gold but just because you think it will look better doesn't mean I have to as well.

That's inspiration, right there.

It absolutely is. I wanted better jerseys. If that means changing the colors, so what.

I like them. ditched the gold to part from the Minnesota roots, but still keeps a solid traditional look. I hope their jerseys are similar to North Dakota Fighting Sioux. Maybe the Wild will take back the yellow and ditch the red because of this.

Edit: btw I'm a 20 year old college student for those keeping track of demographics

You're reading way too much into one quote of his.

You also are wrong about him failing at it. Partly because you're making up some definition for classic that demands using only gold, green, black, and white. That's crazy talk. Nothing about Gaglardi wanting a classic look requires him complying with your color demands. You don't know what he meant. He could have been talking about the way the jersey design is laid out as a simpler color scheme.

Besides, you haven't seen the jersey, so to say he failed at classic is silly.

His quote was about the logo, which is a failure in its current presentation in my opinion.

As for the jersey colors that is a different argument that is purely subjective. I don't like the new color palatte. It is bland and lacks any contrast.

Our guys have basically traded in monocolor uniforms for monocolor uniforms. Silver is a nuetral, as is white, so the only real color we have now is kelly green.

Count me unenthusiastic.

One of the things that keep popping up in my head is that maybe this shade is something a woman would be more likely to wear (presumably, not my field of expertise), and maybe that's why we have a shade and accent color change. Compromise on the shade and color will get as close as they can get to making both sides happy on the issue.

Someone on DBD posted this:

I agree outlining the D with black makes it look a lot smoother. Compared to the leak:

They leaked it so they could get our valuable opinions.

Also, I can see the Onion headline now. "Dallas Stars fans already hate the yet to be introduced jerseys."
