Toews is playing like crap, intangibles are a cop out you hear on message boards when players who are paid to score, defend, hit home runs etc stop doing it.

Intangibles should be a solid addition, when you start hearing "he does the little things" or "what he does doesn't show up in a score sheet" you know the player is struggling to do his job.

And I agree with the other poster, if Toews were European and not a good ole Canadian kid he would get more negative press like Ovechkin. Certainly you could argue Toews has plenty of good equity built up, and that is true, but his play has been awful this series, and he deserves plenty of blame, since he gets all the credit when things go well.

QFT. If McDonalds had their way, the Kings' home uniforms would be Golden Arches-yellow.

Toews has been awful but as you said he does have some equity built up thus he cant be compared to constant playoff losers like Ovechkin

Only Burger Kings can do that.

The Wings are in Toews's head. They are done for if he doesn't snap out of it.

Joke of a call against Crosby. We've been seeing this all playoffs where the ref with the worst angle makes the call and ****s it up for everyone....

Pittsburgh is going to win the East. Boston had trouble with Toronto's offensive players, just wait until they have to deal with Pittsburgh's.

Ottawa is getting embarrassed. Quite a showing by the Canadian teams this playoffs.

It's painfully obvious that Bettman is Satan with a vendetta against the Canadian teams, and that Dustin Brown worships him.

I read it on the main board.

Well then it must be true, like Brown and his secret head hunting tactics that the league overlooks

What a joke. I can't even watch this. Lame hockey. Makes me love our team even more; tight, defensive structured hockey.

Pittsburgh is going to be a tough out, have to be the favorites now, especially with home ice if the Hawks lose and with the way Vokoun is playing. I think the Kings could beat them because of #32. Still, they are healthy and clicking and no longer have that joke in goal.

They definitely look like the toughest team left and score goals like its nothing. I think a series between us and them would be real tough, I'm not sure we could do it unless our D is fully healthy and Quick continues to play out of his mind. The key would be if our forwards show up/are healthy. Boston/Rags both have the potential to be great as well, but I think we could take them.

Still gotta close out the Sharks though...

Penguins can be beaten, ala the Islanders. IMO, Detroit is the team to beat. Their forechecking is incredible. They're are shutting down the best pair in hockey.

No mention of "Morrows distinct kick"?? That was obvious and Toronto still could not get it right. Makes one wonder.

I'd have to go back at least 20 years in the hopes of finding the last time a Round 2 game was aired in primetime on a national broadcast network. Getting that tonight with Chicago/Detroit on NBC (NBC4 in LA).

Getting that prime time NBC game the next 3 Saturday nights in a row as well.

Rangers @ Boston at 2:30PM PDT on NBCSN. Detroit at Chicago at 5PM on NBC.

I really didn't mind Lundqvist until this year. Now I want him to lose badly.

I still like him. He's a very likable person. It's the Ranger fans that paint him as God.

I know, but Rangers fans have jaded me. I gave him the Vezina last year even though I thought Quick deserved it more. But all the AIAEC talk even with Quick playing arguably better than last year and the fact that they want to give the Vezina to Lundqvist now because he had a bad team in front of him, you know in spite us making that argument last year for Quick and getting laughed at. I'm done. Just go away, Lundqvist.

Yup. AINEC, laughing my ass off. Most people probably don't even know what that means.

I wouldn't get too worked up over Lundqvist. The Vezina is a regular season award and effectively ceremonial (players certainly don't care). Quick had a rough start to the regular season. Lundqvist deserved the nod. I really couldn't care less. Hank has had zero success in the playoffs, which is the only test that matters.

The Conn Smythe is a far more prestigious award for a goalie to earn.

One would think it should be an interesting off-season in New York, but I highly doubt it.

Can't wait to get a Quick Team USA sweater!
