It seems that Latendresse has two mentors in Dandenault and Begin. I for one am more than extatic upon hearing this. Begin...the guy who hits everything and gives 100% all the time...is going to mentor Latendresse...a bigger more talented version of Begin? hmm...
Also didn't it worry anyone else when Mike Ribeiro was saying how he was going to try and help Latendresse along this year? Isn't that the LAST guy we'd want messing with Latendresse's mind? I'm sure Latendresse is aware of that if we look at what he said about Mike...nothing. I might be cynical but i think one of the reason's why they got rid of Mikey is because he was getting too close to the special duckling, and they didn't want him to taint him.
Anyways its just my thought ladies and gentlemen...right or wong.

Ribeiro has 1 thing he can teach Lats...How to ignore the media and just play your game. Sure mike didn't fullfil his expectations but I always thought he did a good job at keeping his emotions off of the ice, which is something Lats can learn. If Ribs had Lats frame, I think he'd still be here.
Good to see Lats getting some guidance, I hope he finds an English mentor along the way as well.
One of the problems with the old team were the language cliques. I just hope the team doesn't fall into similar patterns as recent ones; mind you Dandy and Begin are good role models regardless.

Why are you trying to make an argument over nothing? I was simply saying that there are things that Ribs can teach Lats. By saying that if RIBS had LATS frame, I was implying that LATS has LATS frame. Ribs has skills that he can teach Lats, and he also has the whole media jib..cuz Lats will probably be surrounded by media as much as Ribs was.
Maybe he can also tell Lats that if he wants to keep his job, he better make damned sure that he's noticeable out there each night...And to work on his skating and other weaknesses as best he can in the off-season...

good news, but as someone mentioned, woulda been nice if he had someone like Rivet who speaks English as one of his "chaperones" as well. Could probably help him learn the language better.
