We should really make an effort to chronicle Avs history

The Avs history is not that long and it should be possible for some users as maybe a project to put something together while the team remains young. We won't have books or many special issue magazines written for us like a team such as Montreal gets. I was a kid when the team moved in, I still remember a lot of highlights including the painfull loss to the Oilers or the Detroit series as a 7/8 year old and I remember the Corbet's and Yelle's and of course Kamensky or Ozolinsh or Keane but I've completely forgotten some of the 4th liners and a few others like Eric Lacroix.

It would be a good idea to make a timeline of the team's season's and maybe a player biography such as the ones they have in the ATD with whatever info available.

I'm taking the easy way out, since the good wiki-people already did it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colorado_Avalanche

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...lanche_players

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...lanche_seasons

Avalanchedb isn't bad either.

Have any retired Avs written biographies? I've read Fleury's and he talks a little about his Colorado visit.

Roy's father wrote an autobiography about Roy.

Keith Jones has a biography co-written with John Buccigross called "Jonesy: Put Your Head Down and Skate." It was decent...There were some rumors when that came out that Bucci had asked to do one with Podes and he was open to the idea....that should be good if it ever comes about.
