It's genius.

What a great way to hype up the game, as the Chicago Toews face off against the... um... who are they playing again?

Dwight Howard or something?

Elliotte Friedman ‏@FriedgeHNIC 47m
Gagner is an unrestricted free agent after next season. Also, Glenn Healy reported NHL/NHLPA will consider a "carry-over" playoff penalty...

Elliotte Friedman ‏@FriedgeHNIC 47m
If a player takes a minor penalty late in a game, could "carry over" into next game, assuming series is not over.

The best one ever, IMO, was in the Philly-Chicago series, and it focused mostly on Byfuglien-Pronger, with Blue Rodeo's Walk Like You Don't Mind.

But this one was good too. The Teows melt-down was the biggest story out of game 4 anyway.

Edit: found it. I guess it wasn't so myopic after all, it was just my memory that highlighted Byfuglien-Pronger, and Jim Hughson shouting, "and a war is raging in front of the net!"

That was a great series.

I loved the Edmonton - Carolina Game 7 one. Nickelback sucks but it flowed together nicely and gives you chills.

The Sharks now have had 29 PP opportunities in the 5 games they have played at home compare to 12 for the opposition? That's odd. Can someone explain that to me?

Stastny is in the final year of his deal. Probably wont bring in much if anything.

Jones projects to be a dominant NHLer.

Drafting isn't about who's better NOW. Avs would be insane not to take Jones.

Can't deny that forwards tend to pan out better than defensemen when it comes to top draft picks though.

No doubt. I haven't seen a D prospect like Seth Jones in a long time though. Many dmen havent had his skills and package to help them turn out well though. I'm not worried about Jones at all personally.

Wish people would keep this in mind when they keep wanting to throw Cowen into a package for a forward. eg. Bobby Ryan.

No one is throwing Cowen under the bus if they are suggesting we trade him for Ryan

I now fully expect the Rangers to sign him to 20 years 200 million dollar deal or something close to that.

Brassard actually said something on the lines of "it's a completely different atmosphere playing in front of 20,000 (at MSG)". Just in case someone thought he actually said the not feeling like playing for CJB in French or something and it got translated

Good. Couldn't believe a player would actually say that.

Doesn't matter, this is how he's going to be branded now for the next 2+ years.

People are notoriously slow to accept the truth when the alternate story is salacious and tabloid-esque.
