He's gone, let's get past this apparent 'attitude' problem he always had. Some of you guys make him out to be the spawn of satan when here we are on an internet message board. Half of you are probably downloading dominatrix monkey porn and drinking absynthe right now...or whatever the young kids do these days.

Personally, I didn't like him on the ice with my team. I'm glad he's gone and that's about it.
Wow I wish I had absynthe right now.

One of the problems with the old team were the language cliques. I just hope the team doesn't fall into similar patterns as recent ones; mind you Dandy and Begin are good role models regardless.
How do you know, are you the trainer or something?

I dunno, I think if Riberio had the legs of a 62 year old man, he would still be gone.

People generally don't pay attention to what is said in newspapers...If we did then we'd think that Koivu is a bad captain.

Latendresse

Lantendresse is the perfect soldier to have in our company of heros : he is humble and lives at his mother's place, he respects the hierarchy and doesn't mind being mentored by two very pententially lesser players, he respects his bosses and never complained about being sent down and he never tried to pull of a contract war, and he is not a primadonna and is well grounded. Latendresse will be our best player this year by a far margin, he has size, he has skills and is not slow. In five years, when Koivu retires, he will be elected as our future captain and lead the Montréal Canadiens as the most dominant dynasty of the history of the NHL. Once he masters his game, he will be better than Bertuzzi in his best years, a state of enligtment comparable to Maurice Richard, and he will win the most Stantley Cups a player ever won. He will have a royal treatment by the Hall of Fame as soon as he retires, every team will retire his number, he will be our future GM and eventually the Prime Minister of Canada. At the end of his life, he will replace Koffi Annan as the head to the UN. Vive Latendresse.

You forgot the part where he ascends to heaven and takes his place at the right hand of God, after giving Jesus a crushing body check.

Latendresse took Ribeiro's spot on the line-up. Latendresse is a guy that can play on a 1st, 2cnd, 3rd, or 4th line. He proved that he's willing to play tough, defensive hockey. That's Carbo and Gainey style hockey. Ribeiro is a second line player. He's not tough or agressive enough to be effective on a checking line, and he'd never be on a first line with Saku around. Ribeiro was another Mike Savage.

I'm very sorry, I forgot that part of the story of Latendresse. You are absolutly right, Lantendresse will be seen as a religious figure like Jesus or Mohamed in 500 years, for being the right hand of god, our future 1st line center, and the future winner of the future ten Maurice Richard trophys.

Get this i wasn't the Only one who thought that Mikey was trying to take Guillaume "Under his wings"

Wether right or wrong, or even half right/wrong, many observers believe that General Manager Bob Gainey made sure Mike Ribeiro wouldn't be taking Guillaume Latendress "under his wings" by trading the former.
