Official HFNYR Yahoo Fantasy thread

Like last year, we'll keep this thread stuck for discussion, debate and negotiations in all of the HFNYR Yahoo fantasy leagues.

Quick links to league front pages:

League #1

League #2

League #3

GM's, post links to your league front page if you want me to link it in this first post. If participants want to, maybe we can keep updated standings or something in this post. I can give "thread mod" priveleges to anyone who might want to help me keep it updated. Any other ideas?

Hop everyone set their rosters yesterday for tonight.

Excellent. Was that the reborn league 1?

Is there a league 2?

Yea, thats League 1, after the original Commish resigned and Firefly took up the responsibilities.

You know, the only effing thing we asked of people when they agreed to play, was that they ACTUALLY PLAY. First god damn night and my opponent is a no show. Who is "blitzed"? I'm calling you out!

Seriously. Building on MJ's showing frustration, we want everyone to actually participate. Too many times you find GM's giving up on their team for a variety of reasons. If you didn't think you had enough time, you shouldn't have joined in the first place, to be completely brunt and truthful about it.

Put in the effort people.

You can, I think you have to move the player to IR first. I had to do it with Frankie Kaberle, so I know it can be done.

By the following day, do you mean 10/6? Is he shown on IR from 10/7 on?

Yeah I placed him on IR for today 10/5 but it wouldn't let me pick up a new player so I went forward to 10/6 and he was not on IR so I placed him on IR and then it allowed me to pick up a new player.. it could've been because I had my roster set for the next month

Well, you have to have your roster set before midnight on the day you're trying to set it for. It's too late to try to move or add a player for 10/5, you can only manipulate 10/6 up 'til midnight.

That's partly true... at least for League #1. You can move players to and from your bench right up until their game starts that night. The midnight deadline is for adding/releasing players only.

If I post the link from our yahoo league (for league 2), if someone clicked on it, would they be signed in as me? League 2 is alive and kicking lol. Just don't want to post it if people could be signed in as me

Some of my big guns are off to a slow start, and I'm barely clinging to life in my first week matchup in league 1.

Kovalchuk, Sakic, Satan, Redden....step it up! Cam Ward has been getting rocked too.

The Sedins and Ducks (Perry, Kunitz, McDonald) have been good for me so far, which is nice, but I really need my big guys to get going.

I couldve sworn it said that scoring for league 2 starts week 2 of the NHL season, not the first week, hence I was blown out 10-0 for not knowing.

And PIM is now a scoring catagory? It wasnt at draft...

League 3 - Week 1:

1. Melrose_Jr...................11-1-1
2. GarbageGoalTman.........8-3-2
3. Bk BlackRangers...........7-2-4
4. Draft Guru...................7-3-3
5. NYRMessier011............7-4-2
6. Sunshine Surf..............6-5-2
7. in the hall...................5-5-3
8. FLYLine88...................5-5-3
9. Rangers1994...............5-6-2
10. Glen Sather................4-7-2
11. Luke2484...................3-7-3
12. Zooey'sWinterPassers..3-8-2
13. THE O YEA U'S............2-7-4
14. blitzed.......................1-11-1

Svatos, Havlat and Broduer were my 3 stars, but 'blitzed' was my MVP for pulling a no show.

Would like to see people in league 3 change their team name to their HF handle if possible as it's pretty much impossible to know who is who.
