Olivier Archambault won't receive an offer

sorry if it's been posted before. I didn't see it. Feel free to delete.

I'm not surprised at all. Archambault won't receive an offer. I don't know if Pribyl will.

Damn, RDS isn't going to be too happy about that.

Not worried about this at all. Probably one of the prospects with the least likelihood to be in the Canadiens' organization long term anyway. Move on and concentrate on newer and brighter prospects coming in.

Best of luck to Olivier in his future endeavors.

Well not much of a surprise there. He's supposed to be an all-offense type of player and the production simply hasn't been there.

On the subject at hand; Good. I never liked Archambault.

Too small and weak. If you're small you better have tenacity and talent like Gallagher.

Saw him play. Was being outplayed by his 16 year old teammate. Really nothing impressive IMO. Best of luck to him.

No loss. Won't be redrafted and likely won't even receive a camp invite to any NHL team. Retirement, German second league or CIS for him.

NJ should sign him, they need offense. Good move by Bergevin. Archambault will have another chance, just not with us.

Not the only factor. Kid has a piss poor attitude. It's something that has followed him for a long time now.

Boom-or-bust type of pick that I didn't really liked by then, but that could've been great, but wasn't. Not that different from 95% of the 4th rounders.

I guess it's too late to trade him for Pageau.

We have way too many 5'11 forward prospects, not a surprise at all.

I saw your post from the 2011 thread where you said that the Habs should have drafted Pageau instead.

You should get hired by the Habs.

Well the idea at the time was that we didn't need a 3rd rounder, we chose to get 2 4ht rounders instead...PROBABLY thinking Pageau would still be available. He was then gone, we went with another Q player....and Didier. No Pageau, No Archambault. Wasn't a good deal. Will not be great at all if Didier don't make it. Strangely, our best pick of that round was with our pick and Nygren.

Really thought that Archambault did enough to get a contract. We signed worst prospects throughout the years.

Dates back to his days in Val d'Or. Many believe coaching and management felt his attitude was not good and his overall work ethic was poor. He was then traded to Drummondville and it looked like things were improving but as the season wore on, bad habits continued (mainly bad penalties and a negative aura surrounding him).

He has good skills; a nice shot and quick release, and he does have some wheels, but the latest news suggests that his overall game is not up to par and neither is his work ethic/attitude.

But then his agent, I know he's HIS agent so he won't say anything bad, tells people to ask Dominic Ricard, Volts GM, if Archambault was really THAT bad. Any brillant journalist would ask him so if in the end Ricard goes on and say that he wasn't exactly great to be around....the Archambault camp would look pretty stupid.

So, I'm not sure where that Archambault had a bad attitude in Drummondville came from and frankly, I guess we'll know about that if he comes back in Juniors and if he's traded....
