Surprised Gretzky hasn't been mentioned yet. Is he still part of ownership in Phoenix?

Still waiting on my dark horse pick of Sullivan to be confirmed.

Little shocked. I expected Sather to require Torts t hire an offensive coach. Maybe that's what happened and Torts refused, who knows.
I liked what Torts provided in terms of structure and accountability, but his system was a loser.
Feels like a big dark cloud was lifted.

Hope Mike Haviland gets an interview. Won championships as a HC at numerous minor league levels, won a cup with Chicago as an AC. Friend of mine from Leonardo. No more retreads, give someone younger a shot.

Its just based on who is available. I just dont want it to be Schoenfeld, Ruff, or Messier. Thats the triumvirate of predictable, lazy choices. I'd really love for Gorton to take the reigns on this and higher a young, up and coming, hungry coach -- with a track record that would benefit this type of roster.

Enough with the good ol' boys club.

Seriously Katie? Messier? See I don't dislike Katie Strang, but every once and a while she saids something unbelievably stupid.

Whether we liked it at the time isn't relevant. We're not paid to ice a winning team. Sather is. Only the results matter.

Wrong Oiler. But Craig MacTavish might get consideration.

All she's saying is she believes Sather will consider Messier.

Is it stupid because you don't like the idea of it? Because I'd wager that he's definitely someone the organization will strongly consider.

Yea, Im not sure why they have such trouble finding 4th liners even. Id have to look more closely, but I would venture a guess that the rangers mid/late round picks tend to be smaller and more skill oriented guys.

Where a lot of teams will try to find the 6'2 220 pound guys who smash.

No, I don't. Especially for a guy that has zero coaching experience. A smaller market could get away with something so stupid. But not in New York.

Which one of them scored 4 goals in their first 5 playoff games and was arguably the MVP of a playoff series?

I like her as well, she's just trying to create something out of nothing because she needs re-tweets and stuff to feed her cats.

I don't think AV fits New York at all not the team, the city.

It will probably be Ruff because you know, old guys rule.

If it is Messier I will be severely disappointed in this franchise.

I'd rather a younger guy but I've said that multiple times now.

Dont go selling the Rangers short now - they have been and are capable of being as stupid as any club.

Injury prone? Nope.

He had a shoulder injury in SJ. No significant injuries other than that the last 4 seasons.

75+ games last 3 years. Shoulder was only concern and showed zero ileffects after trade.

Concussion knocked him not. Not nagging injuries.
