Well, it's pretty clear that this is our first game tonight.

Still, Habs has been pretty solid so far.

Huet had luck...and our defence in general...but good period for our offence. Kovy and co. could have played better though.

I like what I saw from Lats but he looks like a guy who didn't get much sleep last night. He's a tad slower than usual and didn't hit anyone. On the plus side he protected the puck quite well along the boards and he created 2 turnovers.

The Kovalev line looks a little reckless, good to see Samsonov the first one back on the odd-man rushes.

Only thing I think we need to work on is to be more active in our own zone. Too many guys not moving their feet/waiting for an interception. If you look at Buffalo in their own zone, they've got ridiculous hustle. But then again I'm no coach

On the whole I've been impressed with this period. Yeah Huet got lucky a few times (the play where he was diving around and the puck somehow stayed out) but I think he's played great...shots are pretty even...we're leading by 1...what more do you guys want?

Huet is FOR REAL!

HE WAS GREAT!

He looked like the Huey from last season, we were wrong to doubt him all along!

GO HABS!

I really liked what I saw from Perezhogin, he was very fast and forechecking hard.

The Lats-Bégin-Murray line was very intense.

Braincramp ''Brisebois'' pass in the first but outside of this, yes he looked good. Will not be a dominant player for us but no one expected this either. If he can keep it up like this and possibly also getting more confortable, he will be a nice acquisition.

Huet is looking great for you guys. I'm real upset with Peters on that hit, it could have been accidental but knowing Peters, I don't think so.

Two no calls on the massive trip/hold/hook on Roy, and the no call on Mair, and the referee blowing the whistle when the puck was loose....but other than that, great game thus far. Good luck the rest of the way.

It's been one freaking period. Granted he was pretty good in the last 10 or so minutes.

Its 1 period into the season. Too early to jump to that conclusion.
He has played good so far, but don't jump the gun

So, I just wanted more people to realise this, I thought Huet being for real merits its own thread.

He's gonna be good for sure...I really think that we will resign him at the end of the year. The puck isn't staying in front of the net with him...at least, for now!

I won some vcash with Ryder !!! He's the best

Beside Higgins , who's always our best foward , i trough Perezhogin played very well. I like how we close on Sabres C so far. Miller and Huet made some great saves also. I was PISSED Bégin went down , but i knew he would come back he's a warrior. Afinogenov seem to hate Perez , i love that. The Habs played fairly well but had at least 3-4 major brain cramps they will be better with time.

Edit: If im a Sabres fan i would be upset right now, with some missed calls and the no-goal.

Agreed. Markov had a pretty bad giveaway too so let's not hand the verdict yet.

Hmmm, he was signed to a two-year deal.

I like Roy, but he's getting what he deserves at this point. He needs to learn to stop embellishing.
