Lats needs to work on his skating, he looks like he has 12 pianos on the back... nice work infront of the net though.

Beside Higgins , who's always our best foward , i trough Perezhogin played very well. I like how we close on Sabres C so far. Miller and Huet made some great saves also. I was PISSED Bégin went down , but i knew he would come back he's a warrior. Afinogenov seem to hate Perez , i love that. The Habs played fairly well but had at least 3-4 major brain cramps they will be better with time.

Edit: If im a Sabres fan i would be upset right now, with some missed calls and the no-goal.
Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. I really like what I saw from Perezhogin in the first. Had a nice move or two with the puck, and wasn't afraid of getting involved physically, trying his best to throw his weight around a bit.

I hope Niniimaa was nervous, cuz he didn't play too great there. A real bonehead pass there.

I was impress by Gui's first period. Sure he's not the greatest skater but he's pretty solid along the boards and in front of the net.

Great first period by the kid!!!

Has Petters played a shift since the penalty he took on the hit on Begin? Souray gave him a mouthful after he left the box.. hehe!

Anyway, 20 mins down.. so far so good!! HABS BABY!

[QUOTE=Looooooodman;6683377]Two no calls on the massive trip/hold/hook on RoyQUOTE]

Roy is now know to be a diver. The ref take good note on players like this. Get use to it, you'll see it alot this year. He might get hook/hold/trip, I'm not saying he isn't, but he dives too much and it will cost him.

Perezhogin's looking good so far. First thing I noticed tonight was that his weight isn't detrimental to his skating at all, and he's using his new-found weight with more authority, knocking as many players as he can reach without moving out of position.

And of course, this made me think of you.

He broke out pretty quick from the box. I think we're too used to how fast the rest of the team is.

I thought he was good other than that admittedly very, very bad giveaway.

Of course I'm just telling my father who's just arrived that Niinimaa has looked good so far and then BAM!

Early whistle saved us, so far this season we're up 1 bad call for us vs none against.

Give him a bit. He's not fast, but he's slow tonight in part due to the fact that he's a second behind in anticipating and judging the play.

It,s an illusion. Most of the times we saw him skating with the puck he was at the end of a shift and he was tired from running all arround. He got the puck once at the start of his shift and at that point McGuire commented on how faster then last year he was.

Was also going to note Perez's play. We talk about him when he's not looking great, well he was in the 1st.

Lats looked good to me.. i think he looks slow next to the sabres' players. hehe. He had a great tip in front of the net and made some things happen with Begin.

And Perezhogin looks so much bigger now.. I hope some of you will finally realize how good this guy could be.

They caused a big turnover and Pleks was absolutely stoned in close.
