I'm very surprised we haven't heard something about Raanta already, or Yuen for that matter.

No idea what you are talking about. Yuen is a mediocre prospect that is generally considered a decent sign. No real reason not to sign him, but guess Jets felt different. Meh.

The real surprising part is the Brassard signing, IMO.

Maybe it's not the Jets not wanting Yuen, perhaps, for whatever reason, Yuen Isn't interested in the Winnipeg Jets. I just can't see us walking from Yuen by our own decision. Our organization is far from having that luxury, and by all indications prospects like Yuen always at least get that first contract. We'll see.

Must be... otherwise it's just not an intelligent decision.

He's performed better offensively as a 19 y.o than 3 players we extended ELC's to did in OA season (Melchiori, Sol and Chiarot) and defensively only Melchiori can really contest him there.

The other possibility is something that is outside the knowledge of us, maybe something off-ice.

Or he just didn't want to sign

Or TNSE is waiting on finishing up with Raanta and they'll announce both at the same time

Will be interesting to see where he is drafted this year, cause I'm pretty sure he'll be drafted again.

I am assuming at this point that we did not sign Yuen. I have a feeling that we tried to sign him but he did not want to sign, and wanted to return to the draft. I believe he has a lot of connections in Vancouver, and is probably hoping to get drafted by the Canucks. Overall, as a Jets fan, it is disappointing.

While it may be only a single situation, hopefully it does not become a trend in which the Jets have a hard time signing their draft picks, because realistically the draft is our only hope to eventually become a contender.

If this was true, he would be a moron. He goes back in draft.

Let's not kid ourselves. If Yuen goes unsigned, it's since Jets did not sign him. Not him rejecting contract.

If the Vancouver thing is true I'd like to see his face if we grabbed him in the third before vancouver.

I'm a bit surprised about Yuen. He seemed like a good kid.

Maybe Scott Brown melted his phone somehow? When would we have official confirmation Yuen is gone?

This Yuen situation is surprising. If he really doesn't want to be part of this franchise it's better for both sides.

oh ya...
I'm just confused...

It's like the Jokinen/Antro/Burmi thing... it's not that I though Antro/Burmi were superstars but logically one deserved something over the other and the decision didn't follow that...

If that's true he should've been traded.
