I'd love to go 2-0 and send Philly to 0-2 on their home ice.
Looks like Nitty is playing? I think I read on the Flyers board that he is getting shots or something rather than surgery.
Same lines tonight unless Kaspar is ready to go.
Nittymaki is foregoing surgery until the offseason in favor of cortezone shots. I think many of you will agree that rushing a young, promising goaltender back from injury really isn't the smartest course of action. He has a partially torn labrum in his hip, so I guess this is his first big test. Especially mobility and getting in and out of the butterfly position. I don't wish anything bad on the kid but I really think Philly's training staff is becoming suspect over the last few years. Players from Lindros to Forsberg have called out the staff for some of their decisions.
Way too much negativity in this thread so far. Our boys were not firing on all cylinders on Thursday night, got the brunt of alot of marginal calls, and were still able to handily defeat (the lowly?) Capitals. I expect them to come out focused on the road and ready to make a statement in their first divisional game.
Prediction: Jagr scores 29 seconds in, Shanny nets two, Blair Betts snipes the top corner for a goal and Straka pots the empty netter.
Great GDT Guru. Unfortunately gonna miss the game tonight, but I may catch the 3rd period, got a big rivalry soccer game to play in. Should be back for the end of the Mets too. Anyway, keep the same lineup, plug Orr in over Hossa, and go 2-0 Blueshirts!
