Hah. He's probably just going off Raanta's "future" tweet.

Finnish RW Juhamatti Aaltonen, 27 has terminated his khl contract and will play in NHL next season, team unknown (Dallas was interested earlier, former St. Louis Blues draft pick.)

The most entertaining finnish player in the world atm. Let's hope he won't have to dull his style much in the NHL.

Aaltonen's agent says that there are five teams with which they are negotiating right now. Three from the east and two from the west. Dallas in not among them. Aaltonen will not accept a two-way contract.

I heard he was quite good in Rögle this season. He just can't seem to stay consistent when he plays for the Finnish NT for even the duration of one WHC tournament. Maybe he's more motivated when he gets paid to play.

He reminds me of Ville Leino, you never know what you're gonna get. Anyway, good luck to the team that takes on him.

No surprise with Antipin. There were rumours surfacing a few months ago of him leaving to the NHL. 20 year old defenseman who had an outstanding rookie season in the KHL. He is a player in the mold of Gonchar, in fact they played together during the lockout. Paul Maurice coached him so Im sure the reference helps. Would be real cool to see him under Gonchars wing. Only thing is how many offensive Dmen does Ottawa want?

No. He is not being signed for this season. Off-season signings do not have to clear waivers.

At his age, I figured, as a European that he was still Draft eligible?

With Aaltonen, I suspect he may sign with Columbus, esp. now that they missed out on goalie Raanta. Kekilainen would be very familiar with Aaltonen.

Three NHL clubs are negotiating and working on contract offers to Jimmie Ericsson, according to his agent Lennart Hogstrom.

wtf? he is 33 and who has never played in north america, why would three teams have interest in potential 3-4 liner.

He would be a typical Panthers signing. Talented stickhandler who can't score in NHL and floats rest of the time

I'm biased, but I think many Swedes can attest for the fact that Jimmie is someone you'd want beside you when you go to war. He's gritty, he likes to play pretty tough, he has leadership skills, and he will do ANYTHING to win. He deserves this chance, although I hate the thought of losing our captain.

I'd use a similar description to describe Fredrik Pettersson, who didn't have much success breaking in to the NHL. How does he compare to him?

Rämö "will soon come to terms" with CGY, according to that article.
