It makes total sense. Bergevin wants to hire his own guys, and Groulx was a leftover from the previous regime. Its as simple as that.

Judging by his interview on RDS, methinks Allaire is going to Colorado.

For the sake of Price, the fans and the franchise; I hope this is true.

I don't know who is out there that Bergevin is familiar with. He played with Roman Turek in St. Louis, and he's a goalie coach out in the Czech Republic, but he probably wants to stay close to home. He's also played with Jamie McLennan, but he probably likes his job as an analyst.

I wonder what Hextall is up to? Price needs to get tougher, hasn't even dropped them yet.

Per Louis Jean's Twitter, Eli Wilson is said to be interested in the job, having prior working experience with Carey. Coincidently, that same tweet also names Allaire as front-runner.

I'd rather drink my own piss than have Allaire to be honest.

He dropped them with Tim Thomas a couple years ago.

Price needs a better defence in front of him and he also needs to realize that teams exploit weaknesses in goalies games. High glove, high glove, go high on Price, also get to the net and score on rebounds, he is in position for the first save but rarely for the second. There is the book on him. He goes down way to much for a guy that is so big in stature. He needs to use his size much more to his advantage and he also needs a big angry defenseman in front of him that punishes players that take liberty's in front of him. I could be his goalie coach and get better results than the other guys have been getting.

After listening to McLennan's goalie analysis in the play-offs... No. He'd be a horrible coach. Guy doesn't know anything about goaltending.

Well, the book on every goalie is go high and look for rebounds. That's how you score.

What kind of goalie coach is he (Wilson)? I see he coach bantam players and such to be drafted into the CHL, but any more detail?

It has worked too easily on Price. Can we agree on that?

I remember some footage on him on TSN. Is or used to be CP's private coach. Wilson used to work with Emery as well. Mostly known as a hybrid style coach.

Old saying.......If you can't do it, coach.

One of the best pitching coaches in the MLB, Dave Duncan for the Cardinals, wasn't even a pitcher. He was a catcher.

I did hear that the Penguins goalie coach may be available.

Get both of them and Bryzgalov ?

Eli Wilson would be pretty solid. I believe Price worked with him during an off-season, or two. That was a while ago. I think around the time Halak took over the number 1 job, no ?

His stylistic changes for this season were incredibly frustrating. It made me face palm many times as a goalie. This year had a lot to do with terrible coaching and a loss of mental focus. Definitely too easy at the end of this year.

Assistant GM of the Kings AND GM of the Monarchs for a long time. I presume he's still both.
